Default RR Engine test bed N787RR by Inflight200

Ex Cathay Pacific Boeing 747-267 VR-HIA had a very interesting life serving between 1999 - 2004 with Cathay Pacific:> B-HIA, Air Asia, Air Atlanta Icelandic and Saudi Arabian Airlines TF-ATD until June 2005 when RR acquired the aircraft for a engine test bed.

Absolutely a gorgeous model and very well done. I do have 2 questions for my friends at Inflight though..Why the earlier scheme chosen on that 747 testbed and not the latest more current last scheme before retiring it, and why not do the new 747-400 that replaced it??

Real tomato ketchup Eddie?
Nothing but the best! "I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?"
"you're the gourmet around here, Ed!"

Anyone finds a 1/200 GE testbed 747-100 with the GE90 engine? I have the dragon wing 1/400 ver and would also like a 1/200

Good questions CV. I expect the last livery of this air frame will be the next release. The giant RR logo on the belly is awesome and so is the tail. The next RR testbed air frame is VH-OJU a ex Qantas 747-438 so our Inflight friends should do it!
