Well the same can be said as Cargolux not without my mask thread really to be completely honest! 50 out of 100 post are yours is nothing terribly exciting for me or other collectors not interested in that model either. Yes I read them and counted them all. In fact it's terribly boring as much as posting 1:500 stuff in the 1:200 section which means no relevance to any collector that participates in this section of the forum. I guess everything pans out equal in the end. I have no doubt many of these releases will be popular

The American Airlines L-188 electra Is definitely a must.
Glad such classic aircraft is being released in that livery.
Lately Jc Wings is releasing more polished AA models than Gemini so hope to see the 727-100, 727-200, Fokker 100 and Convair 240.

I pre-ordered the American Airlines L-188A Electra already! I owned the Hobby Master version which featured the color red instead of orange so I sold it a few years back figuring this day of hopeful correction would happen eventually. I picked up the JC Wings recent Braniff Gold Electra release and am very pleased. I like that they include the top antenna too.

UGGH....when will JCW ever release the final Disney Dream Express 747?!?!?? Instead we get a reprint of the Pokemon 777.

So frustrating....at the very least give us a hint that it's actually coming...

I posted that to make a point that herpa is playing game with distribution and market segmentation (and not as much about 1/500). Which IMO is BS to a collector even if it might make sense for them from a financial standpoint from exclusive deals.

The point is that I have in my hand that model which are still currently all listed as pre-order on all the euro sites (beside the cargolux shop). Which really pissed me off because i have several models i also want to get right now from some of the euro dealers but i have to delay due to waiting and waiting for that so i can combine shipping. It sucks to pay 20euro shipping on a 29euro model if i don't take advantage of big order with combined shipping. As well also is that the price of the item from euro dealers is also somewhat cheaper than US dealers a lot of time

And this BS is also happening with JCwings with the 1/200 interactive masked 747-8F. My order from johanchan is already in the mail. In the mean time, all the euro and us sites still showing preorder... I did have to pay a little higher for that order from johanchan (mostly in the shipping cost) as well as the fact that it will take longer to ship from asia. It is complete BS because there is no certainty on when that model will come to the euro and US market while it's already shipped from johanchan and probably will be sold out soon from him. This is actually also very relevant because as we can also see, the jcwings beluga xl is now sold out and you can only get one at high mark up if you can find one. OR wait for the gemini rel with the uncertainty of whenever that is...

My point again is that these ploys and schemes by the manufacturers are completely BS and it sucks big time for collectors!

Get excited man. We both collect AA and love the polish and I am sure many collectors here also appreciate the bare metal. AA livery is just iconic. Nice to see the AA 757 by Inflight without winglets coming up.

I ordered the AA Electra, I’m also hoping that it’s the International Orange and not red like the Hobby Master. The Hobby Master one doesn’t look too bad when next to my GJ DC-3, HM DC-4, and Aeroclassics/Western 720 that all have the International Orange markings. The metal in the photos of the Electra have a bit of that tarnished/mottled look, I hope the finished product doesn’t. I have the AA 767-200s that were done by JC Wings, and the polished metal is perfect.

That pokemon one is tempting. Wish they did a remake of the Hoenn livery, it's my fave but so expensive second-hand

Really? A lot of European stores like Aviation Megastore or ACB still list as pre-order and they have not removed the item if it is really sold-out or discontinued! I suppose this model has never reached EU soils, or even never flied outside of China?

I dont trust that the euro dealers will get it soon. reason is that the jcwing beluga xl was sold by johanchan for a brief period and no one else after him seems to have much of it. also hes selling jcwing masked 747-8 right now for a while but everyone else still say preorder...

Well, I am pretty sure the manufacturer sells his own portion of the game which has nothing to do with the orders he has to / and will fulfill with the retailers. Given that the manufacturers are sitting in China, it is not contradictory if their own sales are starting before the items arrive with American or European retailers.
