Default Gemini Southwest B737-700 Florida One

Hi all.

Just wanted to share an issue which I experienced with two examples of the recent Gemini Southwest B737-700 Florida One Flaps down version.
Both models appear to suffer from the same issue, where the (normally straight) rain gutter line, looks like it has been drawed by a drunken kid

Does anybody have the same issue with this model? Might this be something which affects the whole batch?
Unfortunately my dealer thinks it is only a minor issue and he does not have a replacement anyway. He gave me a small discount though.
It's still unfortunate as it is a quite visible in my opinion.

Cheers.

ahhh yes now I see it..definitely out of whack. that is done with a computer operated tampo press machine and not hand painted. It looks like possibly the machine may have had a glitch.

On a side note, NOT DEFENDING Gemini or any other manufacturer that could have a similar issue, but the topic raised here is smaller than a human eye lash. It all goes back to my original thread earlier in the year about nitpickers, whiners and complainers. If something so minute and in most cases needs a magnifying glass to spot, its not worth mentioning and time to move on...your dealer was very nice to offer a discount.

Because someone has a higher standard of quality control than you for a model they paid $75 for, they’re a whiner?

If your trying to stir the pot, then congratulations you are.

No... that's not what I am saying... my point is when someone is concerned about an issue smaller than a human eyelash as being problematic then yes I define them as a whiner 1 million percent.

Not sure how long your eyelashes are, but mine are definitely shorter than 2cm.
and at least for me it's an appaling issue for a 90 USD model. unacceptable.

I checked my FL and LA One 737s (using my iPhone magnifier tool) and they're straight as an arrow. I agree w/ Crownvic on this, this is a heroically unbelievable nitpick, and to post this on a forum like one is aggrieved ...

yeah. you're probably right. once I also start growing 2cm long eyelashes I will probably get over it.

I'd love for my investment portfolio graphs to look like that! ! Good thing the rain gutter is tampoed in gray and not in a bold black.

In my opinion this is pretty minor, but you have every right to post about it.

Mine isn't like that. Just looks like a QC thing, unfortunately.

My browser is Chrome. If I click one of the images, then do a right-click and (in the browser's popup menu) choose "Open image in new tab", then go to that tab (your mouse pointer should now be a magnifying glass with a + sign in it) and left click on the image in order to make it appear real size, you can see the picture normally as visible below. Of course, depending on the lens, photos can have a strong magnifying effect. This is also the case with these pictures. Nevertheless, you can clearly see that these lines should not be like that and something probably went wrong with the tampon printing, especially because the other details look quit fine to me.

In the end, everything always depends on how well you can see the issue with the naked eye, and to what extent you can live with it.

If you have any spare decals just non acetone remove the wiggly one and apply a straight decal in it's place. These days it's pretty rare to get a new model to not have some kind of minor issue with paint.
