Default Gj200 b747-400 kalitta

As this is the first release of the new CARGO B747 “open doors series”, I would be very happy if someone, who had purchased it, could show here some detailed pictures.

I have many questions, especially which parts are die cast, which are made from plastic and how the parts fit (opened and closed).

Thanks in advance a lot !!!

I own one and I really like it. My pics are not highly detailed. Just some quick snapshots I did with my mobile after unboxing.

Some folks will criticise the "gap" when the nose door is closed. For me it's pretty decent and acceptable.

I'm looking forward for other liveries.

Thanks a lot for the first impressions!

It seems that the fuselage is die cast and the nose door is plastic.

Regarding the gap I assume that this would be for most of us no issue as this model has to be presented with open doors (otherwise the IF200 release should be your choice).

PS: Please also some pictures with open doors (I can’t wait to see how far you could look inside...)

Congrats on your new model! Glad you are very happy with adding this B747 to your 1/200 fleet. One of the very few B747s that fly into my small regional airport. Cheers! T7

Real tomato ketchup Eddie?
Nothing but the best! "I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?"

Thanks mate. The cool thing about this model is it also looks good with all doors closed and on a stand.

I have it and its an exciting model.

Will add a 748 version if one will be made w/out annoying mask propaganda livery.
The nose in closed version is diecast metal. My only complaints are G200 has no decal details on engines and they have reverted to decals for wing root lights. G200 likes to go backwards, whilst charging you more $$$ (JCW thankfully doesn't do that).

Are Gemini using decals for wing root lights in general across their 1:200 product line or are you referring to the decals on this Kalitta release? In other words, are they using waterslide decals instead of tampo/pad printing? If so that would be a major step backward for sure since one of their main marketing points is 100% printed graphics instead of use of decals. IF they do start using decals I'm afraid I will not get such (decal festooned) models.

I guess he just wanted to say that they used printing again instead of inserted ‘jewel’ parts like JC Wings does (and Gemini did on a few models too). Both brands use the same mould, so...

Yes thank you sir, that is what I meant, jeweled lights versus cheepo and going backwards decals.
