Default Another ebayer to avoid

https://www.ebay.com/usr/andwa5461?_...p2047675.l2559

Here he is on DAC asking how much his model is worth:

https://www.diecastaircraftforum.com...t-mustard.html

This guy listed his model twice (Once around feb 20th, then again around march 4th). I won the bid at $305 but he instantly cancelled after with the reasoning of "Item is not in stock or damaged". No definitive proof but I am going to assume this guy cancelled two orders because he wasn't pleased with how much money the bid ended at.

Kind of disappointed I didn't get this model since it's a holy grail of mine but I figured everyone should know about a shady guy on (DAC?) and ebay.

Seems his DAC account is active, considering his last time visiting the website: https://www.diecastaircraftforum.com/members/55418.html

Maybe a sticky of ebayers/ and also DAC account names would be good. It looks like he created his ebay account at the same time he made his DAC account

I had to shoot my mouth off about how scarce it is. All that did is screw someone out of the model, who won the auction fair and square. Sorry about that.

Don't be sorry, be glad we know about this guy's antics now. You and others had noted he put up an eBay listing around the 20th of last month so one can deduce he did the exact same thing to someone else. It seems like a stretch but based on the cancellation reasoning, his lack of communication with bidders, as well as how he had a "make offer" button that went away the first day (probably because he didn't get any $700+ offers), I'll just assume as such. I normally hate to put people on blast like this but I think this guy deserves it.

Please do, and a list of people on other sites maybe? I know on pkmncollectors we have a whole page with evidence, who's been temp/permabanned, and who's gotten sales permission revoked

With regret I have to bump this thread as I have sadly come across another eBayer you guys might avoid. I can't figure out if he's sketchy, or just stupid. This is 1:400 scale, but I didn't want to start another thread.

His name is anvilla45. (https://www.ebay.com/usr/anvilla45?_...p2047675.l2559) He listed a Delta CRJ-900 for very low comparative to the other list prices so I bought it since I like anniversary liveries. He then instantly messages me cancelling the order because it was "reserved for someone else". Reason was the item being out of stock or damaged.

Original listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Gemini-Jets...72.m2749.l2649

Re-listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/al-384551-P...2fc6%7Ciid%3A1

I've been pretty unlucky recently, eh?

Well, of course this is not ethical, but nevertheless it is "legal." The only recourse a buyer has is feedback, but unless I'm mistaken a buyer cannot leave feedback on a canceled sale? I may be in error about that. And of course, word of mouth like this helps at least a few buyers out.

I bid on this model as well and was the one that had it $300. I thought I had it until the last second you came in at $305. Blessing in disguise I guess.

My first post after trolling this forum for a year. Thought I might as well say something just once.

He’s from Chicago, which reminds me of the Southwest 737 Canyon Blue I got; the seller was from the Chicago area, but I’m not sure if this is the same seller.

You can't leave feedback on cancelled items. He was 0 rep anyways. Plus that is super against ebay TOS so he probably got banned. Same with the dude who sold that CRJ-900

eBay will not ban that seller for cancelling an order for the reasons he gave. There is nothing that can be proven against him no matter how sure you are of his motivations for the cancellation. If he continues doing it and it becomes a pattern that can be another matter.

You can actually, I did it the other day for a very nice seller who couldn't find a model I bought, so he cancelled and I bought another.
