ARD200 BA G-CIVF and CIVP

Hey all. I have always wanted a BA 747 LOL so when ARD announced a couple, I just had to get them. Shipping from the UK took a while, but they finally arrived this week. Both are great models. I don't remember anyone else posting these, so here we go..

First up - G-CIVF in the Union Flag (Crest) livery.

Then G-CIVP in the OneWorld livery. This was the plane that set the new transatlantic subsonic record.

G-CIVP was also done as an earlier Inflight200 model, but that was before the "new first" with the plugged windows in the nose. Here are the 2 side by side:

I also have G-CIVP in the Colum/Dove (Ireland) World Tail livery - so here are all 3 together (1st 3) along side my "in progress" terminal building, inspired by, but not a faithful copy of LHR T4. I am only as far along as basic styrene construction.

Gorgeous and congrats! I've been looking for JCW G-CIVD, also in One World livery.

Cracking photo's of the old girls, Miss them so bad,

I remember telling Paul at ARD about the record that G-CIVP set so you have me to blame for the re issue,

I myself have all Inflight BA 747 releases, There's 41 so far with more on the way,

Reheat101.

Wow, I'm impressed! Do you display them all?

I'm amazed at how many of the older releases are still available, mainly the World Tails.

Thanks :) Are you to "blame" for the upcoming "all 4 engines failed" G-BDXH too? That one will be my 91st BCal/BOAC/BA 747 when it finally arrives. Most are IF/ARD/JC/GJ with a few plastic interlopers.

The world tails are getting pricey though. In the good old days, you could pick up a Rendezvous as a donor for a different world tail at a decent price. Right now the cheapest on eBay is $250 plus shipping, and there are a couple of jokers who are asking between $300 and $999!! To think how many of those who made the sacrifice to become something else in my collection.

Blue Poole 742s do pop up from time time at a reasonable price, but unfortunately not too many 742s carried world tails...

Re: ARD200 BA G-CIVF and CIVP

Unfortunately I do not have enough space to display all the 747's however we are moving so there will definitely be a room dedicated to my models, You will not believe this but I also have just over 100 1/200 scale Concorde's Diecasts but I do have cabinets for them so all good,

I did mention G-BDXH over a year ago to Paul so maybe he remembered that one, Also mentioned G-CIVO (soccer nose),N495MC BA Cargo (Chelsea Rose) and a few others,

If any of you guys have any suggestions for 1/200 British Airways 747-200 or 747-400 then post them here with a picture and I will pass the message on, I live far to close to ARD,

How about G-AWNE Landor / DREAMFLIGHT not a -200, but still one that we need.

I really like the BA 747-400 Dreamflight (The first edition on G-BNLA, BA's first 744!) Wasn't there a 1:200 diecast release of a BA 747-200 in the current livery with the dream flight?

Not quite a “regular” BCal, but how about Paddy Zulu in both the hybrid Aer Lingus / BA. https://www.airliners.net/photo/Brit...47-148/2788543 and in BCal colors https://www.airliners.net/photo/Brit...747-148/458752

Great Idea,

I forgot about the 747-100, I'm a plonker,

So just to clarify any British Airways
747-100
747-200
747-400,

Also any other G or EI Registration 747

Beautiful 747's! Still have the old hogan version but seeing these maybe I have to change it for diecast.

Yes... right after I had a custom one done.... you can also get decals if you want to do your own. I have a plastic version of the BNLA.
