Default Question re: GJ 747-100 & -200 models

To those of you who own GJ B741/B742 models or who simply know the answer to the question: Are the wingtip antennas moulded in as part of the wings? Or are they separate pieces? One of the two things I dislike about IF200 B741/B742 models is the moulded in wingtip antennas because they're so susceptible to breakage. I cannot find photos of GJ B741/B742 models showing the wings without the antennas. (I'm considering one of the two Pan Ams.)

Thanks!

The JC ones are not so I don’t think the Geminis are either. They can still break off though but it is a relatively easy fix.

i checked 734pa the antennas are attached but there is disticnt break between them. so antennas might have been screwed in and probably can be taken out from the main wing as they are not one piece. i will take pics of this bird soon.

Thanks! You don't have to go through the trouble of taking photos, though.

I thought I had read somewhere that they were detachable but I cannot find where I read it, if indeed I did!

Thanks!
They are not moulded and going as separate pieces.
I had 2 GJ 747-100 :
- for one I had to glue both antennas back, because they were damaged during shipping. And even after I glue them back didnt looked perfect, but I was okay with it. I guess its depends on people.
- for another model, one antenna was little bit bent, but overall is okay.

As for me, Inflights antennas looks more stronger than GJ. I have seven 747-100/200/300 and never had any issues with wing's antennas.

The ones from JC Wings & Gemini Jets are the same, GJ200 uses JC Wings molds, therefore their VF Antenna's are made the same way, they are loose items pushed in to place, if they are loose and you can pull them out without breaking them just apply some super glue to put them back to their place, Gorilla Glue is also an option, just be care ful with this stuff it can be quite nasty.

I found out when comparing my GJ200 PAA B747-121 N134PA & JCW AAL B747-312 VH-INJ, both of their VF Antenna's were loose items prepared in the wingtip, still need to buy some superglue to fix these.
