Love the PH-BUU KLM's first B747-300 series btw back on December 21, 1985 my mother sister & I flew thate xact aircraft to the Netherlands to celebrate Christmas & New years and we flew bck on january 24, 1986, I even clearly remember the Captain telling me that this was their brand new Boeing 747-300 aircraft the first of it's kind.

The livery we had was more like that of the PH-BUW the one I bought all because BUU was out of stock but BUW wore the exact livery we had back then Polished belly and dark navy blue KLM logo's, so despite that I went with BUW and still this memory was very well kept.

I still have the retour flight ticket of this amazing flight as well as a KLM Memory card game:

What's not to love about a KLM 747?

I'd enjoy once again having a KLM 747 in my collection, but I'd want a -400 because the IF200 wing-tip antennas on the -100 thru -300 are fragile. I'd be curious to know the registration/tail number of their first -400 aircraft.

That was PH-BFA City of Atlanta
Herpa Premium did one and IF200 did one last year, the one from my review is that exact model, unless you mean from the Boeing 747-400 production line?
That I don't know but I am sure there is a way to find that out

Ahhh yes, I see that now by looking at planespotters.net, an invaluable source of information. I once owned the HEP version. Maybe I'll buy the IF200 version.

The first -400 was N661US (Northwest aircraft) which is on exhibition at Delta's Flight Museum.

Sorry, arinmuk, didn't mean to hijack your thread. Anyway, the KLM 747 is truly iconic, just as Pan Am's 747s are.
