Hey all, well a good 8 years and 8 months ago I decided to start on collecting scale 1:200 diecast metal Model Boeing 747's and now so many years later, the 40th has touched down safely
Since I also have VH-EAA "City of Gold Coast - Tweed", I thought what about VH-EAB "Winton/City of Traraglon"? And that kind of got me looking more in to it, it seems that Winton was used from 1981 to 1990 and in 1991 City of Traraglon became the new name for this airframe, VH-EAB.
Thanks to AussieJets for that info as he showed me via aussieairliners.org.
Anyways it seems that IF200 did a new release last year year around July of 2020, so that was the one I wanted as it had the latest fixes and updates to the B747SP model, the corrected landing gear and yea here it is, Aviation Megastore has one left and that was the one I went along with.
Aircraft type & name:
Boeing 747SP-38
QANTAS Australia Airlines "Spirit of Australia Livery, 1984-2007"
VH-EAB "City of Traraglon"
Scale 1:200
Inflight 200
And here the photo's of the box:
And here the model, it's neatly detailed as well, always loved B747SP's in general.
Also tried new methods to make photos from these angles, glad it worked out:
Also note it's name is "City of Traraglon", this was also the official carrier for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games for the QANTAS Team, even it's Livery is alot like that of Spirit of Australia, this one reads The Australian Airline instead, also an interesting touch:
