Thumbs up

The first and only arrival of 2021.

It's a magnificent, older release (2016-2017), by JC wings, of the beautiful Boeing 717-200 (MD-95), in Qantas Link livery (Model Number: LH2030 [Aircraft Reg: VH-NXL]).
This very aircraft is still in operation with Qantas, currently serving in Western Australia.

The model is superbly detailed and really, really nice! Well done JC Wings! Please, enjoy some pictures.

I think I will stop collecting for a while, as I'm currently at a modest 22 models, as part of a small collection principle.
I think it's enough money spent already.

Gorgeous model! I actually loaded this very aircraft today in Perth! I have no idea how rare the model is but I'd still go so far as to say that it's a lucky find. Also I have to add, you must have the willpower of a saint to stick to a small collection principle because lord knows I don't.

Another QANTAS model ...

I am very happy for my Australian friends but I am jealous.

Great model superbly detailed.

Jean Pierre.

It's a privilege in meeting you.
I'm not sure in what capacity you are serving the airline [ramp personnel, cabin crew, 1st officer, captain...etc]!?
Quite fascinating in meeting someone who interacts with the actual 1:1 aircraft.

This model, is an older release from 2016-2017, or so...Not many of these around, but if you can find one, get it, don't hesitate.

That's a really great question. I'd like to see comparison pictures

I chose the JC wings version because I had a suspicion that Gemini version may have plastic parts in its construction and also because I like the wooden/metal display stand better, than the ponsy, plastic tripod, rubbish that Gemini version has.

I have posted them before. I have a few Qantas models. There are three different QantasLink Boeing 717-200 liveries to choose from 1984 to 2006 or 2007-2015 or 2016 to present. Tail shots first

The choice is yours Martin. Have you have heard of badge engineering before? When it comes to JCW or GJ. You should be able to pick the one of your choice without any hesitation on the QantasLink 717-200's

I have all three as well. Looks like the same mould from both. JC does have the nice stand. Only beef is both Geminis are same registration: the earlier c/s has the "blank" eyebrows, yet they "filled" them in on the latter...

Great pictures. A superb mould. I have Boeing House Colors and Delta. Love the DC-9 and all its evolution.

Great model, I have the Gemini Jets (second livery) one.
It's odd that Gemini 200 released two different liveries of the Qantas 717, but JC wings released the first original livery that she wore. I don't think I'll ever get the relationship between the two companies.

It’s not hard to say “no”, it’s much harder to resist the temptation, when you see a beautiful looking model...but if there’s a will, there’s got to be a way!

Later on this year, I’d like to add an Inflight200 767, to my small collection
