Cool Re: Photos of JC WINGS 1:200 CARGOLUX 747-8F Cargo

Thanks a lot for posting this pictures

Well, by looking at the picture of the front nose, I am afraid that - due to the shining effect - it is made with decals foil (like they had done of their first release of the B747-8F CARGOLUX "Cut away" version).

So I will wait for pictures of the final “store product” and keep the fingers crossed that it is well printed…

BTW the stand is very innovative but when it comes to big models like a B747-8 or even more an A380, it is not so secure like the old wood or metal stands

Congrats on the purchase! It's a great livery. The new-style stand is certainly unique. Can it be adjusted vertically and what is it made of?

Yes Can be adjusted vertically... it’s a metal stand

But I prefer the standard stand or wooden

Applying decals on a complex surface such as the nose of this aircraft is so difficult that I am tempted to believe that this mask is tampo-printed.

Well, JCWINGS done it on several models before... the whole fuselage including nose...

Therefore it shouldn’t be a problem.

Examples are:

B747: both LOTR, QANTAS “ Olympic”, PIA, CORSAIR, THAI ORIENT...

B777 for example both AIR AUSTRAL or A350 for example the ETHOPIAN one...

These models are well done but I am a little bit afraid how they will look like after some years... we will see (myself too)

Nothing wrong with the decals, lovely model there man
Always loved the extra details JC Wings applies to their models and Jean Pierre made a solid point there to be very honest.

Then again not one model is perfect, as for this one it's amazing, just something I am used to seeing from JC Wings in particular.

Real tomato ketchup Eddie?
Nothing but the best! "I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?"
"you're the gourmet around here, Ed!"

hah maybe, but I would of gone for a Gold & Red facemask, to fit the livery a bit better, cool that these liveries are being made though
