Default Pics: GJ British Airways 100 Years Landor 747

Greetings, all!

I received a few days ago, the first Gemini 1:200 scale model I've purchased since April 2020. Are you surprised it's not a Virgin Atlantic model? It's also not an aircraft I've flown on, which makes it out of my collecting criteria. I wanted one of these so much when they were first released, but I was living in London and knew I had to return to America at that time. I was able to locate one of these for a somewhat decent price and after days of deliberation, I decided to go for it. I don't really have a good space for photographing models but I devised this make-shift set-up. I'm still looking for two more BA 747 models (requested in the For Sale/Wanted section) so if any of you have them, PM me. Thanks and enjoy.

Nice regal looking Landor livery that 747-436 is wearing.

Photos don't seem to have loaded. Or are having problems being displayed properly.

I can see pics too, no problem. great addition Randy. got this on release but later sold it as I needed the money at the time. but as you know I recently bought the skymarks instead for just £40. obviously not as good because its plastic, but at £100 LESS its not bad! same with the BOAC retro.

Ta, Robert. I came very close to buying both of those, too. The Skymarks 747 mould is quite good and I prefer plastic to metal. But I knew if I bought the Skymarks versions, I'd want to detail intakes, exhausts, fans, and the leading edges of the wings and horizontal stabs. I used to do it with all of my Skymarks and Risesoon models, but nowadays I just didn't want to get into it. If Hogan were to ever release this, I'd sell this for the Hogan version. An older Risesoon model I detailed well over 10 years ago:

Hay nice BA B747-436 there sporting the Landor Livery, always looks best on Concorde though, but still catchy in positive ways on the B747's as well

As for Singapore Airlines B747-412 Tropical, JC Wings/BBOX had two releases of that one the Ill fated 9V-SPK and the one that didn't crash the 9V-SPL which is the one I have

If you need help finding one of those I can surely keep an eye out for you, anytime.
Here's the one I have:

Odd that I didn't see your reply until now. I once owned models of both SQ Tropical registrations, but by Risesoon. I also owned the JCW 9V-SPK which is a gorgeous model. At the time the JCW/BBOX models were released, there was some debate re: which model was more accurate as to livery, and I think colour(s). I went with JCW because I prefer the mould.
