Default Air India 747-237B

Here is another stunning model from Inflight200.

Infight200 SKU is # IF7420820P

Rego is VT-EBO

one thing worthy of note is Boeing's customer number for Air India is 37 and Qantas 38. IATA Country codes for India where VT while Qantas was VH. I can release a bit of trivia here and that is the rego's off the Boeing's production line for both Air India and Qantas 747-200's where exactly the same except for the T for Air India or the H for Qantas. (Thanks Mark) Trivia over here is" the palace in the sky"

Nice Air India B747-237B ya got there, don't see these much these days, my review will start next week for my Delta B747-123 the N9896 also from IF200.

Seen many B747's come around in this forum and that is always a great thing to have around, the more the merrier I'm like

Just didn't expect you going for an Air India B747-237B, interesting choice.

Not my favourite classic paintjob, but the details around the windows makes it special anyway. Great addition to your collection!

Are the main deck cabin doors just a little too wide?

I have to admit Air India is not my collecting criteria at all, however, this is a classic beauty that I will never forget seeing in person in the early 80's. Gate 1 right beside the international terminal cafe seeing off family on holiday the wing area was just about where the cafe was. I have never forgotten those detailed windows. This is a true 747-2 classic to enjoy if you want to get your hands on one and Inflight200 did a great job on this one.

We pulled up beside an Air India 744 a couple of years ago at Heathrow Terminal after a transatlantic from Canada, seeing those painted windows was so cool. Love the Air India livery!

Cool Re: Air India 747-237B

AIR INDIA is a regular visitor here at FRA (some years ago they also have a hub here where all their flights to the US went through… therefore we had each day up to 8 of These birds)

I have the old IF200 release of the -300 and the -400 one of JCWINGS which I will soon will offer when the IF200 version will come out...

BTW the last -400 of AIR INDIA was until its end also very often in FRA as it flew for the Government and made here always tank stops to/from its way to/from the USA.. (and even with the Primeminister on board the aircarf was always in a horrible condition…)
