Default SPEEDBIRD CIVB is home Permanently

On the 8th of October 2020 G-CIVB flew it's final ferry flight (a Boeing 747-436 manufactured in 1993) from London Heathrow to Cotswold Airport (south of Gloucester) in Kemble, United Kingdom. This Aircraft was line number #1018 with MSN #25811 and entered service with British airways in Feb of 1994 with it's final revenue flight to Miami in April 2020. This airframe operated 13,398 flights covering 118,445 hours as well as 60 million miles. "Victor Bravo" was the second last BA 747-436 to leave Heathrow for the last time on the 8th of October 2020.

This aircraft was repainted from the standard fleet Chatham Dockyard Union flag livery into the Negus livery which was rolled out in 1974 with the introduction of the upcoming Concorde service. This livery replaced the BOAC livery as you all know.

Speedbird CIVB is now persevered for future generations as a Cinema and conference venue and a big thank you to British Airways management that made the call to keep some aviation 747-436 history and to the museum that took her.

Here is G2BAW841 (flaps up). If I am not mistaken, I purchased this model just a week before the great news this aircraft was to be saved.

Nice B747-436 there, didn't know Negus had light gray on the belly, thought they were Dark Navy Blue from all under, hmm interesting.

No - check photos. This is correct with light grey lower belly. It was the Landor scheme that had dark blue all the way underneath.
