I'm super stoked that we're also getting the 789 "Dreams take flight" model, but I saw this morning that JCW is also releasing the Virgin 744 "millennium falcon" livery in 1:400.

UGGHH....c'mon JCW, please make this beauty in 1:200!!

We also need the LATAM 773 PT-MUA Stormtrooper bird. Looks like I will be picking up some of these blanks as well, but I need a couple of A319's with CFMs and A320's too..

I'm guessing the 737's have winglets as well, I need some without.

Does anyone here know if the JCW 1:400 models come with stands? I'm seriously considering picking up the millennium falcon 747 for now until 1:200 gets released....lol

I could use quite some of them for some future custom jobs. Though I absolutely can't see the point in why they are sold assembled. I mean, getting those parts "blank" is an easy job for a can of acetone, but getting those tiny glued together bits and pieces apart is a pain in the **.

I just offer on ebay my blanc JCWINGS B747-8F (only a reg. and a smal “operated by Atlas Air” is needed and you have a real plane).

Will offer it directly for DAC members for EUR 129...

Quite interesting.

I appreciate the fact that the A 310s are offered with a choice of engines, a big thank you to Johan Chan who cares about accuracy.

Three different engines equipped the A 310, the difference between old GE and new GE may be subtle.
Old GE are CF6-80A3.
New GE are CF6-80C2A2.

To make the right choice, you need to have the msn of the aircraft.
Aircraft before and including msn 400 had CF6-80A3 engines (or PW depending on the airline option).
From aircraft msn 406, CF6-80C2A2 was the standard engine (or PW).

Of course, there are always exceptions to a rule.
Msn 392 was equipped with CF6-80C2A2, the only operator was Air India VT-EJL.
Msn 454 received CF6-80A3 and was flown by AF as F-GEMG and sold to FEDEX as N436FE.

If you want to make a model, check the A310 production list to have the right information.

I would like to see pictures of the engines.

Jean Pierre.
