Default JFox and WB Models

Hello guys,

I've paused collecting models for a few years but now my love to aircrafts models flame up again. But now there are some new manufacturers on the market (e.g. JFox, WB Models) which I can't rate.
I wanted to buy a 777-300ER model and I know that Gemini/JC had some problems with the engines (too little). But I've heard that they fixed this issue and in my opinion, new versions of 777 models look fine to me.
What can you tell me about JFox and WB: is it a good quality or do they even use Gemini's moulds? Do they have as many details as e.g. Gemini? Especially I'm looking for a comparision between Gemini/JC Wings and JFox/WB with a focus on A320 Family and Boeing 777.
I would be glad if someone could bring me up to date again.

Thank you! 😄

JFox = WB = Inflight and for the A320 I think the consensus is that the IF mould is superior to GJ's mould. There's been several threads comparing IF and GJ 777's - IMO GJ has the better mould there, but it's close.

So JFox, WB and Inflight are the same? Why do they use different brands?

Denny is correct that JFox = Inflight = WB = B models = ALB = Aeromodel - all built by InFlight.

I have started off collecting just recently earlier this year with 1:200 models only and thought that GeminiJets are the "best". With my second order I started seeing parts of models that have been very poorly attached: engines, wings, tails, gears.

I have then started researching about other manufacturers and took a venture with inFlight and JFox. Although I had one model which did have an issue as well with an engine that was not attached, however in terms of quality, detailing and precision - InFlight and JFox are definitely unbeatable!
I have so far 12 GeminiJets and 7 Inflight/JFox.
Based on my 19 models, I have decided to stop buying GeminiJets and will only stick to premium models for which I don't mind to pay a little bit extra as I have the quality and precision which I will appreciate in the long run.

Hmm the same goes for ARD & Aviation200, these two are also built by Inflight 200, as far as I can recall though.

Correct Goldleader! Nice to hear from you again! Btw, I believe that Jfox is a brand off it's own allthough they use IF molds. They have a Facebook site and my retailer who does sell IF and B models doesn't sell Jfox because Jfox only delivery to a small amount of retailers.

You are talking about «ARD», are those models produced by “Aviation Retail Direct”? Or they just have a similar name but no relation?

Thank you for your explanations here.

As I started collecting after some years I was really confused about these brands and their qualities. Has anyone here compaired the A350 mould both of GJ and JFox? My hot cake is the A350 D-AIXA in LH's old colors. Flew with that one before Covid the MUC-KIX route. Unfortunetaly both releases don't have the "Nürnberg"-print on it and the JFox-release have white instead of red antennas on the underbelly. And, the JFox release is cheaper (due to licensing?). Thanks in advance for any reply!

Hi StillAir! After my Herpa Premium ANZ 747 yellowed I'll never ever collect any plastic models and only go for diecast. And in 1:200 scale detachable gear is a must for me. Unfortunetaly I have to pass so many great Inflight (747) releases because of that missing option.

Herpa releases diecast models as well, correct?

InFlight's 747 does not have removable gear in 1:200?
Thank you.

As I know and JFox is a different company using inflight mold. And as I can track JFox models are little more expensive than Inflight models (I suppose in order to get more profit, since they dont own the mold)

For example 787-10
Singapore and Saudia both arrived at Aviation Megastore at the same date. One was produced by Inflight (Saudia; 126.95 EU) and another one by JFox (Singapore; 154.95) - same mold, but the price is different.

If we check other molds - price will be also different.
