Default Inflight Lufthansa A310 comparison

Hi guys.

Apologies for the not perfect photos.
Find below some comparison shots of Inflight's Lufthansa Airbus A310.
One is from the first batch with the high window line.
The other from a second batch where the window line is corrected (lower).
The only other apparent difference is the smaller black radome at the nose (which by the way appears now to be more correct when compared to photos of the real aircraft).

In the comparison shots, the first batch (higher windows) is on the right, the corrected batch is on the left.

Cheers.

Better but not enough.

Nose cone, threshold of front door and emergency exit door (cabin floor level) should be on the same line.

Problem with the size of the emergency exit door ?
It should go a bit lower to make things acceptable.

I have an early Inflight Lufthansa A310-200 with the high window line. I also got a Thai A310 that was delivered much later, and has the lower, more correct window line.

I still love my Lufthansa A310, and brought it to coffee in my apartment, but it will forever be tainted now. I really wish I could exchange it for the later line.

I am now banishing my Lufthansa A310 down to the lower shelves of my display. I thought there was something wrong when the Thai model took so much longer, and that was it. Is there anything to do to trade the incorrect model for the correct model? Now that I have seen it, I can never go back.

Very nice comparison, so sad I have the first release... Difference between the two is clearly noticable.

There clearly is a change in production here. Back in the days of my early Matchbox models of Yesteryear days of collecting, changes in production were called code 1, code 2 and so on to differentiate the different production runs. Maybe something like this needs to happen here. If you saw a model of this on ebay for sale how could you tell the difference without a comparison shot?

Stay safe everyone

You guys know understand what I am talking about? Manufacturers have a responsibility to have a new sku or variation on their SKU for example IFXXXXX310 LH1, IFXXXXX310LH2 and so on. This is the first change in production I have seen which is clearly obvious.

Indeed they should do that. Now it is impossible to find out, only if you take the model out of the box and see for yourself. As far as I know, Inflight nor the retailers say this is an "enhanced"version of the LH 310

Beautiful A310, specially the 2nd version, with the corrected cheat line printing...

Thanks for the comparison and details.

I’ve been contemplating on getting an A310 but wasn’t sure, which one, this 2nd Lufthansa release or the Aeroflot!?

I wanted to know if the engines, tail and horizontal stabilisers are plastic!? Thanks.

2nd release, I think should be all metal. My Thai A310, with the corrected window line and wing-tip fences, is all metal. My Lufthansa A310-200 seems to be all metal too, although the vertical stabilizer is questionable...I think it's metal, but it doesn't have the sound that the Thai A310 has. It looks the same though, besides the window line, so I wouldn't allow that to hold you back.

I am in doubt for the KLM one.. it looks so 'not right' or am I mistaken? Anyone who has that 310?

The best way to know if the window line is correct is to check the height of the door seal over the wing.

It should be as shown on the attached picture.
It is a Gemini product.

It is clear that the Inflight mould has a problem.

Waiting for a JC Wings AF A 310 ...

Jean Pierre.

Sorry for the quality of the picture, check any Gemini A 310 and you will have the answer to your question.

Heads up to people. I can confirm that the seller buygoneworldlimited on eBay has examples from the latest batch. No connection. I'm just a satisfied customer who has received one of the second batch examples and wanted to point others to where you could definitely get one. They do indeed look immensely better.

Due to this topic I have to conclude that the IF200 model of KLM is not yet enhanced... I'll wait for that. There is something about the A310....
