Inflight B747-400 Air China Presidential IF7440515
Another one to add to my growing Presidential collection:
This aircraft is actually quite interesting: in contrast to the US that uses Air Force one, this particular aircraft is used for commercial airlines in normal times. With the tail code B-24722, it was bought in 2002 and has been operated and maintained by Air China. Every time before President Xi Jinping travels overseas, the plane will undergo a modification for at least 20 days before takeoff. The plane would then return to the commercial flights after each state visit. It is a lot of work, so I guess that's why back in 2017 China began testing an Air China 747-8 to be primarily used for VIP services (more review on that later).
