Default Starlifter for Harvey?

As Harvey keeps on about not having a C-141 Starlifter model, this has just popped up from ARD

Very nice C-141As! I would order Hanoi Taxi and the Metal/Silver versions.

Pricey, but they do look good. I also like the NB-52 as well.

Regarding the STARLIFTER I remember that for the ceremony of our take-over of the RHEIN MAIN AIR FORCE BASE in October 2005 the USAF was so kind to arrange a little aircraft display which beside a KC-10, KC-135 and a C-17 also contains the last flying STARLIFTER... the “Hanoi Express” in its original white-grey colour scheme (if I remember right, it was one of their last flights before it was donated to an US museum).

BTW... during this ceremony also another C-17 was baptised on the name “Spirit of Rhein-Main”...

I must gave GEMINIJETS the idea to produce this as I am sure it would be a bestseller having in mind how many soldiers / Americans had been there, especially on their way to and from the Gulf Wars doing their brave duty...

I believe this model has been out for a while as a fellow DACer just sold one on ebay for $225..

Harvey= DAC member C141*Lifter

I have just noticed that the Hanoi Taxi (white/grey) and the metal /silver scheme both have the same registration USAF 60177. So now I may only purchase one of them and not wish to have both pricey models with the same registration.

What a stupid choice of registration from the manufacturer I must say!

Yes... „Hanoi Taxi“ was the name (I am at the moment on holiday and will check the pictures from the event when I will be back at work).

And regarding the C-17 “Spirit of Rhein-Main”, I don’t think that it was ever released... I believe there is a confusion with the C-17 „Spirit of Berlin“, which was baptised by president Clinton, chancellor Kohl and the Candy bomber pilot Gail Halverson from the Berlin Airlift... this was perfectly done by GEMINIJETS.
