Default The Fleet Meneer Guggenheimer

I started collecting in Jan 2020 and already have broken a few rules... (only 747 was the original idea). I have actually flown on all, except the VA one. But I am a 340-600 fan (I never have flown one!)

This is the fleet on 17-7-2020

I will probably get the 330-300 from IF200 next

Very nice models there. I especially like the 747, MD11 and the 340-600.

A very fine start on the fleet. I too became an A340-600 fan after I flew on a Lufthansa one. Hope to see them in the air again.

IF200, I bought it second hand as it has a small wing issue. Which I fixed. Other say the JC one is better and they are rereleasing it later this year. So I might get the flaps down versos of that one.

This KLM fleet is a good start.

If you have nothing against the old prop liners, do not neglect and do not forget the excellent KLM DC-4 released by Herpa.
It will be sold out very quickly.

Loved them. Had several flight from the Westcoast to Germany on LH A340-600s. Unfortunately, all a/c are now stored down in Spain - and as far as I understand all are scheduled for sale. But who knows what happens when demand suddenly increases again...

I am looking for second hand pre owned models and some I would like are available but the prices sometimes are high. Is there a sort of price list of what models are fairly priced for?

There is a fokker 70 but asking price is 149 euro.

I had planned to get the Anthony Fokker one and sell the regular liveried one. But because of the rarity, I'm keeping both. It would have been nice if they weren't the same registration.

But they're in different rooms anyway.

Is it metal? I had some herpa ones but they where all plastic and I like the metal ones.

Do a quick search on Google and type in DC-4 1:200 (or DC-6 or DC-7 etc....) and see what hits you. You will be surprised.

Do a search for whatever model you're looking for and IIRC in the Advance Search section you can select "Completed Auctions".

I had an accident earlier this summer which I am very lucky that I am still able to fly in the future and hence the silence. I just got some models just before the accident and today I'll share them. Getting slowly back to my feet and decided to spend some time today with my models.

Great model. I have the 50 ANS France Chine JCW. Got a few pictures from CDG and LAX of their A388s. Sad that they're retired already.

I'm jealous - very nice Meneer Guggenheimer! And nice to see you here from FT

Regarding PH-BVA I've been wondering if I should go for the Inflight or JC Wings version. In the end I chose Inflight for the better color fade. The purple band that's on the JC Wings version would bother me over time I'd expect. Its just too unrealistic...even if some of the other details on the JC model may be better (At least that's what I hear in reviews).

The Cathay sold out quick indeed, iconic livery on an iconic aircraft.

the KLM B747-406M PH-BFW "City of Shanghai" is the clear winner here, being a B747die-hard myself, always the B747 hah!

Nice collection tho if you interest various aircraft, nothing wrong with that!

Thanks for sharing man

When I started collecting I decided only to buy KL747... I only have 1 now..

I do not like the IF mould with the loose wing box. So... very few to collect until now.

The Virgin A340-600 has left the fleet. It was swapped for a KLM772ER which I will post a picture of soon.

I have only started collecting since last year and started with the GJ models. Little I knew then of other brands. I am bit hesitate to buy second hand ones. I burned my fingers on 2 already.

Hopefully JC wings will re-release models....
