DIY: How to repair 1:200 747 Wingtip Antennas

Some of you may have seen my threads on how to repair 1:400 and 1:200 747 wingtip antennas in some of the Facebook Groups. I decided to post it here to keep it archived for the community's use. My full guide is in the 1:400 section.

This procedure would be basically the same except you need to get a larger thicker needle (leather needle) to match the scale appropriately. Since the needle is thicker, I had to use a Dremel with a cutting wheel to trim it.

Length of the antenna should be 14mm long (compared to my Gemini Eastern 747-100 antennas).

So far I have decided to keep the bare metal look of the antennas on this SP, but I can always paint them later.

Really nice work, well done. I had a broken AC 742 but could not fix as the insert part of the antenna was stuck in the wingtip hole and I could not get that part out.

Hey very neatly done man! This kind of reminds me ofa similar thing I had with my IF200 QF B747SP-38 froma few years back, eventho my VF Antenna had a clean breakline and that surely did matter, as you can see here:

But I was able to fix this with superglue, luckily:

And now this classic stands under my JC Wings QF B747-338 Nalanji Dreaming
