Default Lufthansa Modell Edition 747 disassemble

Friends,
Its been sometime back that I had seen a post by a DAC member illustrating the disassembly sequence for a Lufthansa Modell Edition 747. I have been frantically searching for it. Do anyone of you remember that thread or be able to direct me to that topic?
Thank you

I think I've found the thread you're looking for but the photos are no longer there. And I could've sworn Kai (B-16707 or kaitanium) posted photos of a "for parts" KLM he had, but I don't see it.

If you can't find the nose gear, Herpa used to sell (and may still do) a 747 gear upgrade set. I bought several a few years ago to upgrade my 747 fleet and they look excellent.

Would you be able share any pictures of the gear upgrade set you are refering to? I have reached out to Herpa as well, infact called them over phone. They confirmed they dont have any stock anymore...In the past, I have reached out to them for the brochures and have got them mailed to my address. But this time, I understand they may not have any stock of the spare part...

Last resort, I am considering to get them metal 3D printed locally...But for that I have get the landing gear white light scanned, then clean up the CAD model and then get it printed....But I dont have high hopes with the 3D printed parts, as the features are very fragile and may snap during cleaning....

This is a Herpa model with the upgraded landing gear set. But I don't think Herpa produces the landing gear set any longer, either. This was done back in 2011.

By the way, late yesterday ended up placing order for an old Metal landing gear set made by Hogan...I dont know if it would work, but worth a try...

Will keep this thread posted...BTW, attached is the photo Avworld has sent me...

Those gentlemen (Mark, Fred and Andy) are the best. I was very fortunate to have AVWORLD aka Aviation World as my home brick and mortar store when I was living in the GTA. Miss those guys a ton. Cheers! T7

Guess my order value, mere $13....and the kind of support and follow up certainly makes me obligated to give them more business....
Yes, I had a list of Flight Sim yokes and other peripherals that I wanted to upgrade to. Its going AvWorld way for sure....

On a tangent, I am not promoting anything here. But thought of mentioning a Simulator software I am extremely impressed with and its having me upgrade all the Sim Hardware...But every penny spent is worth it...Its called AEROWINX PSX. It would certainly keep the 747 buffs, fans very excited....Its for those 747 enthusiasts, who care less about the scenery generated but are hungry to understand what it takes to be in the Queens cockpit...
