Great looking models, specially the Alitalia Curtis. Maybe my favourite modelmaker when it comes to classics.
Hope they will make a KLM DC-7F Speedfreigher one day

Both models are excellent.

The Commando is quite interesting, despite being out of my collecting criteria, I have the Lufthansa, great model.
These classic aircraft are always welcome.

I was just looking at a art print of an AOA "Connie" on my wall 3 days ago and was asking myself if anyone (WESTERN or AC200) would ever release a copy in 1/200....next thing I know here is a release notice telling me what I had just been wishing out loud for......gota do that more often! All three shall find a home somewhere in this mess of a collection.

All three look great! I plan on getting one of the AA Connie’s, just need to decide which one.

Agree. They're both super awesome classics, but I'm leaning toward the AOA since it's a bit more classic--if that makes sense.

I think I see an error on the AA Connie's. On both planes below the stripe upfront I see "American Overseas Airlines" on both the AA and AOA models. I hope that is just a pre-pro error.
(BTW, I think I am leaning towards the AOA model, I kinda like those orange spinners!)

The American Airlines System still had American Overseas painted on the nose section.

So Alitalia C46 arrived today.
Tail wheel and tail wheel door off.
On closer inspection the hole for the tail wheel is filled solid with glue
No glue on the tail wheel so this must have left the factory like this.
I now have to carefully drill to remove the glue before I can stick the tailwheel back in.
I was really looking forward to this and am now scared I might damage it doing the repair. So fingers crossed. Came from a well known good US supplier (at a premium price for shipping) so returning is not going to be an option.

I understand what you feel ...

Dremel with a small drill bit is the solution, it should't be a problem, a magnifying glass is recommended.

The Alitalia C 46 is a very nice model, unfortunately, due to space problem, I have to be very selective and adhere to my own collecting criteria.

Jean Pierre.

Thanks
Box is no bigger than most 1/400 so space shouldn't be a problem.
At work today so managed to drill glue out as we use very small, 1mm, drill bits then GS Hypo - and waiting for it to set before fixing the tail wheel gear doors.
Maybe I should send my charge for fees incurred, to aeroclassics?
