With regards to UA and Manchester, there is talk about them resuming MAN flights in June next year. I suppose they'll see how the next year goes. It would make sense though, as the EWR flights out of MAN were a real money earner for them. They were frequently overbooked in both Business and Economy, with the holds full of cargo and post office mail. Tickets weren't cheap with them either, so yields must have been good.

Thanks, I hope it comes back next year, I'd heard the same and also was never a cheap flight when I booked, so often I ended up going the 1 stop route unless the company was paying for the trip. It was always extremely busy when it was a 757 route and even with the 767 they seemed to fill it pretty easily, I had wondered with United looking to retire the 757s and potentially some of the 767s was it coming down to just not having the right aircraft for the route. The 787-8s would seem to work, and the A321XLRs would certainly be fine but still a way off.
