Default 1/200 Concorde FedEx

Another nightmare custom - Groundhog day.

Hogan based Fedex Concorde
Fedex wished to operate concorde but due to the design it wasn't possible to fit a suitable cargo door.

robertjon5 and Baerke like this.

there would be a new ultra expensive same day transcontinental delivery service . i can't even begin to imagine the cost per pound premium over the overnite service.

Real tomato ketchup Eddie?
Nothing but the best! "I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?"
"you're the gourmet around here, Ed!"

Both the HAM Concorde and this one look pretty good. A question however....

Neither BA nor AF had the livery colors (except white) come all the way to the front of the tail. This was true for all of the BA liveries (Negus, Landor and Union Flag) and I believe it to be true for AF.

Does anyone know why? Was the very front of the vertical stabilizer a different material that did not take kindly to different paint (like the laminar flow discussion on 787 engines early on) or was it that this section was subject to greater heating because of friction, and darker colors made it worse?

Both these customs have a fully painted tail, which got me thinking.

Anyone know?

I did try the other one Waves with a white part, but but it just didn't look right. and easier spraying the whole tail on FedEx.

I think both look better with no white part... I just wondered what the deal was on the 1:1.

Nice work.
