Default No Gate, but here comes the bus.

Many people hate it when there is no gate and you have to deplane by stairs and take the bus to the terminal. I actually enjoy it as you get to see the plane closer than you would usually do so.

My BA Landor buses arrived today, so time for a quick pic with a Landor bird. The new buses are by "Fantasy Wings" and as you can see, are different from the Herpa (Yellow) and Gemini (US Airways) versions of what I presume is supposed to be the same COBUS. I swear that I have some all white ones around here somewhere, but cannot find them for the life of me.

My diorama will move to a semi-permanent home in the coming weeks, and I will be able to install people and other GSE that I have been collecting, but don't want to risk being displaced in the current temporary location. For now - this is it.

The buses need to move slower and also drive closer to the planes

It's a standard JFOX (JF-747-2-003) You should be able to get one as they come up on eBay from time to time.

The stairs are from Franzlhuber. His work is amazing. You can find a few threads with more (better) pictures.

You guys are too funny with all of the COVID comments - but come on, it's LANDOR, so it must be H1N1...

That said, COVID is no joke. Stay safe everyone.

this thread just reinforces my belief that the BA Landor scheme was the finest to ever grace an airliner...

Real tomato ketchup Eddie?
Nothing but the best! "I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?"

Thanks! Wish me luck. I noticed a JFOX 744 Landor sold for $319 on 23 April. Eesh. I wish JCW or GJ would produce one.

Links don't work for me. But the idea is a cool one. That's the way of the world back when I was a kid. Some of those bus rides were pretty long.
