Default 1/200 Aer Lingus A330-300 Inflight vs Gemini

Hi I hope everyone is being safe and healthy during this pandemic.

I'm about to purchase a 1/200 Aer Lingus A330-300 in the pre-IAG livery which comes in two diecast metal offerings - Gemini Jets and Inflight200. Which is more accurate and detailed?

I had the same question some years ago - at least I decided for the Gemini model - and I would still today.
Like everything: the decision is not like black or white.
Here some points I regard as important:
Gemini:
+ the overall impression is good and harmonic
- cockpit window and cheat line tend to be too high
Inflight:
+ its details are fine(er), esp. landing gear is better.
- the cockpit window is in a better position, but its overall impression leaves me with some doubts, if it is really correct - looks somehow not so much like the real one...
- finally the incredible tail fin, which is so much out of shape avoided me to buy the inflight model.

So far what I can tell you - in the end you have to decide yourself.
Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback Suedflug99. Sometimes this hobby can be frustrating for diehard fans like myself. I love accuracy and details, but I've got to learn how to just have fun with the hobby. I will purchase the Gemini Jets in this case - the tailfin is just too much for me to handle.

You´re right - sometimes investigation, patience and sometimes indulgence is necessary.

By the way: The Thai 330-300 from Inflight is a very fine thing - but this tailfin... so I cut and reworked it, now its good. Was not easy to get it neat.

The vertical stabilizer on the Inflight 200 model is atrocious.

Interested in opinions on the JC Wings in this comparison? Any insights are welcome.

I got the inflight but only because it was really cheap on eBay. Basically the tail fin is far too tall.

JC Wings uses the same mould as Gemini Jets.
