Default BA BEe Avro-146 collection

While I had the camera out for the ERJ collection, I grabbed shots of the other "regional" parts of my collection. Here are the BAe 146s.

First up - in Landor

Then the interim / transition livery before the World Tails were applied

Then the World Tails, finishing up with the current Union Flag livery.

I have had these for ages, but had not looked at them in detail for some time. It's a shame that some of the other World Tails did not make it onto this type. Bauhaus/Germany, Market Day/Saudia Arabia and Crossing Borders/Egypt would have all looked great in my opinion.

Edit: forgot the group shot:

Nice collection! One thing - the BA Union tail is missing the chrome inlet on the port outboard engine. Let me know if you still have it. If not, I'll look in my parts box and send it to you.

Aargh. Well spotted. It was there when i first got the model. I just checked the shelf and the diorama, but cannot see it. If you have a spare, that would be fantastic!

Thanks.

Beautiful collection of one of my favorite aircraft models. Me too have several BAe/Avro models, but only one in BA livery, the first one of your pictures.

Thanks Robert. Given the current situation, I won’t be in the UK any time soon. Do you want me to post the models, or wait?

Hi John, sorry but all I could find are Fokker 100 inlets - which are slightly larger diameter than what you need for the BAe.

Thanks for looking for one. I will move the bookshelf that it sits on, maybe inlet fell on the floor and rolled underneath. Fingers crossed.

Good luck in your search John. Let's hope the vacuum cleaner has not found it first. Nice collection.

Good luck! On a not so 'funny' coincidence - I noticed I am missing one too on my Ansett Australia BAe so I'll be doing the same...

Cool Re: BA BEe Avro-146 collection

Great photos of a wonderful model in fantastic livery variations. Great looking airframe to begin with. Still bummed I missed the AF/Cityjet version of this aircraft.

Seriously cool.

I have searched for this info, but cannot find any results.

Does anyone know if the BAe 146 is constructed of metal, or composite? Thanks in advance.

Kickstarter next month, goes to print May, in your hands by September. It’ll be a large coffee table style book, 350+ pages, most photos never before published come direct from BAe archives. Comes with a lot of bonus items.
