I never understood the logic for getting rid of the tulip in favor of the Continental globe. So, the United brand is more globally recognized but the globe logo of Continental better reflects the brand? I guess that’s why they get paid the big bucks...

Arctic, it’s one of life’s great mysteries. I get it with American. I hate it, but I get it. Gimme a polished A320 and I might appreciate airbus a little more. But United Airlines made one of the more rookie moves by slapping titles on the Continental globe. Really silly stuff. They go from three straight (and sort of inexplicable, but original) livery changes to laa’aame, most unimaginative-able branding decision.

Are these shipping to the U.S. one at a time? I'm still waiting for my pre-order and I haven't seen any arriving at retailers either.

Man, what a gorgeous bird you have there. This has always been one of my favorite UA liveries, besides the Saul Bass.

Must have been a great feeling to come home from vacation and see a nice little surprise waiting at your door

I guess miracles can happen. I ordered this model over a year ago and finally we may see light at the end of the tunnel. I guess the sun is rising from the West as JC Wings has decided to release this unit finally!

One of my favourite UA liveries too, and it looks magnificent on this 747. Add the flaps-down detail and —wow! What this model needs is a 'short' stand option to approximate the last 20 seconds of the landing sequence.

Yeah—that's a cracker, alright!

Gave in and ordered the standard version through PandaFox. Always loved this scheme, shame it was so short lived.
