Default Inflight200 RCAF01 Airbus CC-150 Polaris IF3100618

Got this from DiecastAirplane.com

Inflight200
RCAF Airbus CC-150 Polaris (Airbus A310)
Reg #15001
437 “Husky” Squadron, 8 Wing, Trenton Ontario
1/200 Scale (With Stand)
Item: IF3100618

Five Airbus CC-150 Polaris (A310-304) were purchased by the RCAF in 1993 from Canadian Airlines (originally delivered to Wardair in 1988) as a replacement for the Boeing CC-137 (B707). Four of the five aircraft were converted in 1997 to Combi Freighter standard with reinforced floors and a side opening cargo door. The fifth aircraft (15001) was modified as a V.I.P. Transport for Government Executives (such as the Prime Minister, Governor General or members of the Royal Family). All five aircraft wore an overall grey paint scheme until the V.I.P. aircraft, as part of a regularly scheduled maintenance period, underwent heavy maintenance which included getting this new paint scheme. The Government of Canada decided in 2013 to repaint the aircraft with a colour scheme and design that is more reflective of Canada's national identity and more in line with patterns displayed by other countries aircraft in similar roles.

I use to have the Hobby Master released model back in 2014 when it was first released. Although detail wise both models are correct, the older HM mould can't compete with the newer and better shaped model from Inflight.

Here's some pictures:

Looks good but the ground clearance of the engines still is a problem on the Inflight model... I’m tempted to buy the KLM A310 but if those engines are still scratching across the ground, I won’t.

Plus, the cabin windows incl. the windshield appear to be sky-high...

The mould is actually Pretty good, better than GJs imho. But i agree on the engines Ground clearance. GJ out longer gearstruts on their 310 - which simply looks wrong. There must be something wrong with the wing or pylons. And the artworks speaks for itself - if every 310 turns out with such a highprinted windowline, they cannot expect to sell a single model - - seriously.

Agreed. Inflight looks more crisp in details and accuracy. If they fix the window line and low engines, it'll be wonderful!

Nope, wrong again.
IF's A310 suffers from 2 major flaws.
1) Wings sit low (therefore engines scrape the ground)
2) Front and nose shape is off, too bulbous

I cannot wait for JC Wings to start offering A310s on the better mould, as they do not skimp on details that Gemini is lately deciding to forgo.
I am talking antennas, drain masts and printed details on engines and panels that make these collectible models, not toys.

The wing is simply too thick. But still, when the struts on the GJ version would be shorter, the ground clearance would also be a different one.

Btw the tail looks more accurate on the IF200 (fuselage underside behind the wing too)….
