Default United 738 Star Wars- will we see it in 1/200?

What's the chance of us seeing this made in 1/200?

Yes.... in a plain white box with no markings.

The licensing on that one will be a sh1tshow.

...so true!

Whoever makes it, I wonder which DA.C members will count all the stars and their spacing to make sure they are correct!

This has opened up a new collecting criteria for me, i have the ANA star wars set and this will look cool with them, however United also have the NYC and Cal special liveries coming on the 757 so will have to get those now, plus a standard livery.

This hobby man........ :P

Same with me, except I was on board with ANA Star Wars when they were first announced and then cancelled, lol I feel like JCW will be the first to drop these, as they DGAF about copyright laws it seems

I am completely all over those United NYC special liveries too btw. Absolutely gorgeous!!

While we're on the subject....how about the Virgin Atlantic SW Galaxy's Edge livery on their 747??

If this Star Wars 737 gets released, it will be a massive seller.
But yeah, licensing will be an issue again.

I somehow also see Hogan possibly being the first to market with these, since they usually end up with these sort of special liveries.

I don’t think Disney wants to give out any licenses unless it’s mass produced. The Disney westjet 737 had a few batches seized when it shipped to the US. Hopefully we still see it hidden like the Cathay are

JC have both United 757 NYC and Cal liveries covered under future releases.

CV stated somewhere that GJ wont release the Virgin Falcon, nothing mentioned about anyone else, apologies if i am wrong on this.

SW United 737...... we will have to wait and see.

Also we have the LATAM 777 Stormtrooper which looks fun, again no word of this release.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Hogan did have licensing rights to the ANA star wars jets. Can someone confirm this?

I think ANA approved those, but is it official? Licensing confuses me nowadays, if this united one comes out it will definitely be unlicensed

Just like anything else United does nowadays...made up, no thought behind it, half done, hodge podge, lazy attempt, etc. etc.

Port side passengers - Jedis - good.

Starboard passengers - Sith - bad

My only guess.

Yeah, that's basically what I got from this. I don't think the livery was supposed to reveal anything about the movie, per se.

You didn't want to go for the nearly $1700 1:100 scale Russ? I see both scales made it to eBay over night.

The ones on ebay are being sold by a fellow DACer. he does not have the inventory, in fact he has no inventory, he just posts models for sale from dozens of other sites inventory, marks them up at 2-3 times the retail price and if an unsuspecting buyer buys from him, he just buys it for retail or in some cases wholesale and sends it to his buyer and keeps the profit. Not a bad business plan.

Mine will most likely go to China and be torn apart for a 200 scale version down the road! WAAAAAAY down the road.

It would be neat if Disney gained interest in selling diecast models airplanes with the Star Wars, and other special liveries. I'd imagine that it would be good business for the manufacturers.

Isn't flightaware fun. Great for spotters, if you are trying to catch a specific airplane. Like the Star Wars plane.
