Default Trans Australia Boeing 727-200 VH-TBL

As previously stated I picked up 6 out of 7 models yesterday. 5 out of the 7 Were inflight200's. This is one from the inflight200 stable. A little beauty

IF722TN0519 named " John Eyre"

This colour scheme named the camel hump scheme for obvious reasons for TAA came about as do many airlines for the introduction of a new aircraft. Trans Australia Airlines was a solely an Australian Federal Government owned airline and in December 1974 it ordered 4 A300B4's the first of which arrived on it's ferry flight 13 July 1981 TAA's fleet was repainted into this scheme, prior to the very first wide body transport for domestic travel in Australia. Here now is inflight200's exceptional B727-200

It is great that this model is now part of your collection.

Your A 300 is also quite interesting as having received three different liveries during its operational life.

Congratulations Steve, you are a man of taste.

Thank you Jean Pierre.

I hope the photos do the A300B4 justice to which lead to the change in livery

I really secretly wish everyone would stop buying the Inflight 727! They make me ill! Anyways.. no offense to anyone who does.. I’m glad you’re getting what you like

Nice looking TAA B727, not talking about the IF200 mould issues, beautiful.

Regards Modestos.

Hi Tom,

The Australian government found it was two expensive to run TAA & Qantas independently. A decision was made to merge the two and float the entire business by selling 100% of the shares to Australians. Prior to the merger a decision was made to rebrand TAA and on the 4th of August 1986 the airline became Australian Airlines. IATA code Tango November. TN (Australian Airlines) wore the Aussie colours of green & gold stripes with navy blue belly and a blue Kangaroo getting everyone ready for the merger for a short time only. By 1992 the merger happened. All 727's where already retired prior to the merger and Qantas received a fleet of 737-300's and 737-400's and 4 x A300B4's for it's first domestic fleet. It was all Qantas (QF) by 1993

Let the tails show the history

Craig I would send your model back for replacement. Did you buy it from CAMS?
