Sometimes it is far too low and potentially dangerous ...

Gotta admit that first one nearly had me fooled....

Was there a plane in shot number six...?

Flaps down would really enhance... trouble is those models are only ever good for that one shot....

Amazing work, I especially like the angle on the second UA 747 shot!

, me too. Since I have been to Maho beach a couple of times, I kinda just look at the pictures without any observations. I just realized it on the 3rd picture with the Delta 757, I said wait a minute, no flaps?

Flaps down also look awesome for just displaying as well. My flaps down United 747-400 Friendship stands out more than the other 747s I have in 1:200

I didn't see past the bikini...

The only flaps down models I possess are HM Military ones, but they do make for a good photo...

(but not on a civvie thread..)

I was just at Maho Beach last saturday. No more beach, just rocks. There is a very small patch of beach at the far left. Kinda sad. The last hurricane took the beach away

I've never been, and I wondered how that beach survived the storm. So the visitors have to stand on the rocks now to watch the plane arrivals?

Yes, you either stand on the rocks or on the narrow curb of the narrow 2 lane road that runs along the end of the runway. You can get some nice side shots from the Sunset bar that is there or on that small patch of beach on the other side.

I had attempted at a diorama of SXM a few years back... Too bad I messed up the water!

Me too. The MD11-DC10-...-DC2 stickers only flew during the farewell flights, which made me realize that it is the model airplane in the picture. Very beautifully done!
