Default Air France A350

Hello Boys and Girls ... just picked up this new Gemini 200 release .. the new Airbus A350-900. Normally I only collect oneworld but since I am ex-Air France 🇫🇷 the airline has a special place in my heart.

Enjoy!

This is a nice place to read too ! But I'm not sure about sharklet color.

Thank you - let’s keep the replies/comments in English please so that the majority of the people around the world can read them.

In regards to your question on the veracity of the actual aircraft featuring the blue exterior on the winglet I am including a photo of the aircraft as evidence.

And yes the interior of the winglet, as you mentioned, is also blue and features the hippocampe which is also referred to in popular culture as “La Crevette”.

En somme, ça sent la crevette négligée.
To sum it up, it smells like a neglected shrimp.
To the english speaking crowd, i had to type in french as there is a pun involved.

Yes, be sure I do speak and write in English... But, thanks for your pictures, so this model is more accurate than I thought before. Good job!

I have to second that. That would be nice in the collection. A wee-bit dear though.

Does it also carry the name Toulouse on it's fuselage or has Gemini been to quick with this release?

????
The OP has kindly provided pictures of model. Please refer to first post with several photos. Model clearly showing no Toulouse name.

BTW, perfect classy and understated livery for the 359. The new SAS livery will look nice as well on these futuristic looking Airbuses.

Model is displayed left side only. Only seen pictures of the real aircraft with name on the right side. Hence my question; don't know if the name is on both sides of the plane..

FYI..the artwork for this particular model was supplied by Air France months in advance of rollout. I checked and it was not included in their original artwork submitted.

To say that Gemini was quick to release this model is true.. They should have waited months, held up the entire production run as well as all the other model slots in the factory just for that reason..Good catch. This truly is inexcusable.

For that reason, I would suggest no one purchase this model, its a definite deal breaker for me. Shame on Gemini...

Okey-dokey a 30 second internet search reveals that the real aircraft has 'Toulouse' on the left side as well.
I read a press release that AF will be naming all their 359s after other cities.
I would have personally preferred naming after French F1 drivers: Jean Alesi, Alain Prost, Lafitte, Pironi, Platini, Chirac, Croque Monsieur... etc.

Whilst frustrating for collectors that demand accuracy, I can see how on launch aircraft these added artwork issues arise last minute, certainly out of control of model manufactures.

It is very clear that you know more about the whole proces of models being released. No need to bragg about it. I know you are an insider and I am not, so please explain normaly when a model is released why it is. No shame on Gemini at all, I buy lots of models from them with great satisfaction. Just a normal answer or PM would be sufficient..

Is the snark really necessary, given the title under your name? It was just a civil question.
