I got an an email yesterday of ready to ship ACs new stretch DC-8-61 in two Delta liveries. Great! finally a 61 in 1/200.... then they disappeared. did they sell out already or recalled due to printing flaw? anyways... it's nice to know the mould has been done... :cool:

Kam at Eztoys simply announced the models before he was allowed to.

I saw EZtoys announcement and figured it would hit later at retailers closer to me. Those sold out quick. I wonder how many he had of each?

Hopefully we see Eastern and JAL, before the United's are pumped out!

What is interesting is why models can be sold out before they are announced.

Unfortunately this is the case when models hit shelves before announced. Especially with aeroclassics they are for sale on the shelf at retailers (excluding online retailers) before they are allowed to be announced. But ezToys is an online retailer so you can take your bets

Yep both so right! I could have ordered from EZToys as I saw the announcement shortly after it was sent. Other retailers will get them and if I can't get either, no biggie as there are many other models out there!

The reason i didn't order on the spot is the front Widget and Delta title appears to be crooked, and one of the two looked as if the tail Widget was also not level. i was gonna wait till more photos popped up before committing.

Well its odd that my go to retailers still don't have this model, but two ebay sellers do... buchair_best_of_ flight and seller bordi20 has it listed for $191. :rolleyes:

If it's the same seller, he had them listed for half that price just days ago. Gouging much?

FYI..bordi20 a fellow DACer does not have inventory..He drop ships from the distributor or sells inventory off of other sites and marks it up considerably..It is a very common practice these days with ebay sellers..

After more photos have surfaced, i decided to pass on this release anyway even though i did find a retailer that has them in stock at normal price. i have bought models with printing errors before, but that crooked Widget and Delta title behind the Cockpit will bother me to no end. I am sure this new mold will see plenty of use the next few months...

Both of mine landed yesterday and they are awesome!
Titles dont bother me a bit, too minor of a detail for me to pass on and never see another one. To each his own :D
