Default G-CIVB BA Retro Negus 744

Although reheat101 posted a great set of pictures of this model, mine escaped customs and joined my collection.

I think this one might be my favorite of the BA retros so far.

Like reheat101, I also have the G-BDXA 747-200, so took a few more comparison shots than he did.. Notice how the new model has the "British airways" placed much lower. On the 747-200, the bottom of the "y" is lower than the top of the door.

And finally - all 3 747-400 retros together...

Great job BA ... and Lupa!

Nice photos as always John, this latest negus retrojet looks crisp next to its classic stablemate. I have the original IF200 747-200 as well and although I’d love the three retro 744s, I don’t have the space. It’s great to see all three side by side in your photo though!

Very nice indeed,

G-CIVB Negus is also the one i like the most,

I was at LHR spotting on the 11/8/19 and within an hour and a half i saw all four retro jet's taxi along and take of 27R, Victor Bravo stood out the most,

hope you get the chance to see them at you're local airport's,

All Inflight 200 models look spot on to me,

reheat101.

Beautiful collection of 747's you have on Flickr.
I do like that clean Negus livery.
I do like the Delft's Blue livery as well.

Thanks all. @Maarlandair - I did have a 747 thread back in 2016, you can find it here but that was several additions ago. I have a new custom Ndebele on the bench right now. If i get it finished over the Labor Day weekend, i might post an updated thread...

Those are the ones John. Beautiful!
BA has kept you busy over the years, with their different and one of a kind paint jobs.

In a way I am happy as a KLM collector that they are less active when it comes to special paint schemes, but only because of the size of my wallet.

Looking forward to your new addition.

Lupa used the inflight mold. This model looks great btw. A real stunner.. still on the fence about this one, your pics are great and make me want this model even more.

I guess the NEGUS 744 IF200 , GJ200 shall not reproduce these golden BOEING 747 Marking either .
