Default Martinair Holland 747-200 Polished or Painted

InFlight200 Boeing 747-200 Martinair Holland PH-MCE Ref: IF7420817B (with stand)

Can anyone who has the above inflight200 model, tell me if the model has a polished or painted belly?

well hopefully someone here has one. but usually inflight polished models usually have a P on end of code to denote polished.

I don't own one but a quick search indicates that the original box says 'Polished".

I was going to use it as a doner for a custom, but my experience with polished is, if I attempt to remove the Martinair titles and cheatline the white will come off too and I don't want to have to do any painting.

True.

That's what happened to me on an Herpa polished Viscount, I wanted to remove the Air France title and apply a smaller one, the one it had for the delivery.
The white came off.

White primer was locally applied, sanding and the AF titles were printed on a large piece of white decal covering most of the roof.

Luckily the white is the same as the rest of the model, the decal is very thin, its edges are almost unnoticeable and can be taken as structure lines.
Clear coat when finished.

Jean Pierre.
