Very nice. I like my models to be in the open as well and stare at them once in a while.

What's the bird next to the Raptor? Certainly not the Chinese knockoff?

Looks like a Northrop YF-23 from what I can see.

that is right. two 1/72 YF-23 were built from old kit. Actually F-15C ,F-15E, Eurofighter, F-14D with deck, F-22,F-35A/B/C,F-117,AH-64 ,CH-53 and A-10 were all built from plastic kit.

Oh okay cool. I never even knew it existed. I'm assuming from the YF designation that it never went past the prototype phase....

My display shelves are "littered" with a mix of diecast and plastic kits in 1/200, 1/144 and 1/72...is that the Orange F-35C in front of the Tomcat?
YF-23 was the loser to what became F-22...

I watched the following video on YouTube some time ago - it provides very interesting background information about this plane:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYLiMYGBE2Q

There was a model kit from "Dragon" with choice to make the dark and bright version of this plane in scale 1/72.

jan

Many thanks. Indeed, the YF-23 is noticeably more beautiful than the Raptor. I am glad that enthusiasts have the opportunity to at least have a scale model of her.

yes, from Orange, not as good as Hasegawa but this the only option in 1/72.
