Default My ever growing russian collection

A man collected models with rabid passion
anything russian was severe addiction
he craved for Antonovs, Tupolevs, Ilyushins
such madness second only to Rasputin’s
made his face wrinkly like the balls
of Vladimir Putin’s

That’s a great collection you’ve put together there. I also love Soviet era airliners, and throughout the 80s and 90s in my work, I had a lot to do with the real thing. I have quite a few Soviet airliner models, but in 1/72 and 1/100 scale only.

Hi Crownvic, Sergei did the Il-62 and TU-204. The AN-124 which I got in Las Vegas is PCM (I think, it's heavy). I have a Lupa Volga-Dnepr An-124 1/200 that is in my office which Sergei improved on by adding the landing gears and antennas.

Thanks guys. I hope to add more. I also have a growing British collection which I will post soon. Hopefully I will have a "classic" French collection combined with the present French productions. Inspiration for these collections are Istari, Jean Pierre and Crownvic.

Yes the AN124 is from ADI I recognise it.. as for inspiration I’m honoured but in recognition of you I have 2 LUPA AN 124’s leaving shortly to Sergei for gear conversions!

I love this Red Wings TU-204. Would love to have it in my "flown on" collection as well, since I took it back to 2009.

Yes, and hopefully one of these days. I have been trying to bag one of my holiest of grails-Historic Aircraft models IL-86. I guess I could hear a chorus of "get in line"!

What airliner is the 'Red Wings', it looks very much like the Boeing 757 or Airbus A321neo?
