Default GJ website “Future Releases”

Now you can see GJ future releases which are due within 1-3 months of announcement 😃

These are only a small portion of the actual releases for each month. Bravo, long overdue and what is great is that we don't have to wait 6-12 months to see a future release.

I like this idea. Totally makes sense, for saving money. You can see a subject you want, is on the way shortly.

A310 ...
Competition is the best way to have the best product.

From what I see on the Gemini website the PW engine nacelles are much better and look quite good.

Great question Callume which I have already asked on this forum. A popular model which would go like hot cakes I expect.

Is this the entirety of the new releases for the next 3 months, or only a portion? If the former, that's quite slim pickings. Barely 3 models per month.

Gemini A310 is great news but why release the same airline schemes that Inflight are going to produce at the same time (Pan Am, Delta)
At least I hope they take note of the comments already passed on here about the Inflight version and make any necessary corrections before release.
Use some imagination Gemini

G2DAL860 That Delta might find its way to my hangar. Will that be polished, or is the A310 a composite aircraft?

Only a matter of time then.. sure all A310's will pass by in the next years or so And seeing the amount of LH new color releases gemini did and is going to do, that LH 748 won't be too far away. I think it is more then ok to release them a bit slowly so the wallet can keep up...

Speaking of the Airbus A310, can we please see the 'Spirit of Jamaica', it will go nicely with the older release Gemini 200 Air Jamaica A321 & Inflight 200 Air Jamaica A340-300..

Nice change to announce next 3 month of releases as long as it doesn't get out of hand like some Mfgs.

Looking forward to see some nice A310's with American Classic liveries!

I found this info on the Airbus website, but it doesn't specify whether or not the fuselage is fully composite. So if anyone can chime in with more knowledge, please let me know. Thanks!

"Advanced technologies

The A310 helped pioneer the use of composites in commercial jetliners, with its vertical stabiliser built with carbon-fibre materials that offer significant weight savings over conventional metallic structures. Other major applications of composites on the A310 include floor struts and panels, spoilers and main landing gear doors."

Did you ever think to maybe take a look at pictures of Delta A310s? They had gray painted bellies. The fuselage of the A300/A310 is not composite, however the wing/body fairing is, as well as the tail and other structures mentioned in what you found on the Airbus website.

Settle down, dude! You bumped the thread a mere 10 minutes after your last reply?? How important is it that you find out if the A310 had a composite fuselage or not?! You'd have your answer if I wasn't on your ignore list. Maybe someone can kindly quote my above post so DC-10_Tony doesn't have a panic attack.

I wonder the thought process of some imbeciles on this forum. That would have taken a 2 second Google Image search, notwithstanding the mental giant ultimately answered his own question when initiative was applied, yet still felt that self-centered, almost infantile, attention seeking behavior was still necessitated.

A Pan Am A310! If Gemini puts it out, I just may get rid of my Hobby Monster version.

I love the Negus livery of BA, then again I pretty much like every livery they’ve had, especially Landor. The BA 744 is tempting. I’ve seen every 100th anniversary plane either at JFK or LHR, but only have seen the tail of the BOAC 744 at JFK because the terminal obscured the whole view.

Cool that GJ is announcing more models in advance. And they’re not like Inflight, who take up to a year to release their models after they announce their pre-orders. I can’t remember how remember how long I waited for the AA Convair 990, I think it was 8 months from the announcement to the time it actually reached the retailers.

Well, there goes that idea. No worries. I'm not an Airbus fan anyway. Though if for some reason the Orion A300 becomes available, I will be getting that one. Airbus, smh.

For me, an AA with no polish is a no-no. That's why I don't have a BAE-146 AA. The grey looks horrid.

I have no issues with two manufacturers doing the same airlines as long as the registrations differ
First of all it gives us the collector to pick up the one we feel is better represented and also gives the fleet builders a second model to get.
We all know there are a handful of liveries which will sell very well and those 3 plus a few others will most likely be made by both manufactureres.
I am sure Inflight will gibe us the more obscure airlines since their runs are much more limited then GJ.
So, in the end we will all get what we want

Remember, there's a substantial lead time at play as well, and Gemini in particular announces their releases for the next month - which I would guess is when the models are in mid-ocean transit, already on their way to the US to clear customs and go to distribution?

Actually Crownvic, on average, what's the quickest a model could go from inception to the warehouse for distribution? It's gotta be a couple months.

The quickest would be 3 months...

So why don't we have GJ/JC copying Inflights 727s lineup aswell - just curious.... i cannot believe they wouldn't sell (Dan-Air-London or Sabena 721 for instance). What is the aim of them - earning money with reduced investments due to the use of existing moulds, or sticking to their principles whatever might happen.
I remember some here saying: "naa, we don't need the same models again..." So where is the logic here?

Which A388 is the Deutsche Lufthansa? They have 14 at present. I guess it doesn't matter since it's new livery.

Hopefully either MB, MA or MN. In that order.

Use some imagination Gemini
Wardair A310
BCal A310
Canada 3000 A310
Royal Jordanian A310
That would certainly pique my interest. I remember a 9:00am flight on April 11, 1989 from Toronto to Edmonton, and a 5:00pm return flight (same day) to Toronto. Lovely experience, no class designation, choice of meals on the return & wine. (Yes, I can see why you admire Wardair. It was CPA without the massive cost.) Anyhow, my one time experience was on a A310, and I'd be keen on an A310-300 to commemorate a great memory. And who better to do this than Gemini? You bet!

Really liking all of the Lufthansa new scheme stuff coming out. Hoping for the MD-11F, 777F, 744, and 748 models too.

Woohoo!! All over that Lufty A380!!

I'm chomping at the bit for a Lufthansa 748i in new colors, as it seems that's the only version I may be able to get with the current market price for the previous livery. I can feel it coming soon...fingers crossed!
