Nice releases indeed, for me especially the 737-200 Delta widget!

This model is very special for me. I worked at Canadian at the time. Good friends of mine, from the engineering office, arranged an Airbus Toulouse trip for me.
It was timed with the ceremony introducing the A340 to the world. I had a pass to go anywhere on the Airbus grounds. This model is the exact plane I flew home on with it's delivery flight. Frobisher Bay stop for fuel. Wonderful memories.

I hope they do a Ron Allen colors 732 soon, I've already got the N311DL Widget so I don't need another one, but I'm sure this one's going to be popular.

Very nice, must have been great to see the first A340. Imo one of the most beautiful widebodies ever made..

The mail I got on these releases state the are " B-model" releases - still from the Inflight200 stable anyhow. I am sure JP would have got the original Air France A340-300 F-GLZA,however, there is another Air France A340-300 is this group of releases B-model part number B-343-AF001 rego F-GLZJ a frequent visitor to Sint Maarten so my email says!

This A 340 is certainly the best die cast model available on the market.

Yes Steve, I do have the F-GLZA with the delivery colors, but I will also order this one with the last scheme.

The A 340 was technically speaking a fantastic aircraft, unfortunately, it had four engines and could not compete with the ETOPS rules.

Not sure that people at Inflight read this forum.
What I really would like to see now is the release an A 340-300 with the old Airbus colors, preferably with the F-WWAS registration marks.
I have very good memories of this particular aircraft, it was in 1992 ...
Later, this aircraft became G-VHOL with Virgin and EP-APA with Iran Aseman Airlines.

See picture, caution, the aircraft in the foreground is an A 340-200, the F-WWAS is in the back ground.

Very nice picture. The A340-200 was slightly shorter and intended for longer range? I've flown on the A340 two times as a passenger and she flew like new allthough several years in service, a beautiful aircraft imo. Thinking about selling my Gemini AF A340 and buying this one as a replacement.

Basically, the -200 was 2,5 tons lighter than the -300.

That gives the -200 a slight advantage in terms of range but with this aircraft the range was never a problem.

The -200s were not specifically assigned to the longest flights.

What about the A330-200 vs A330-300 wasn't the different much larger with those two?

KLM's A330-203 the PH-AOA i was piloted bya friend of mine, I have PH-AOA from herpa wings, a diecast metal replacement of PH-AOA would be nice

My Favorite Airbus A340 is also the A340-200 but from Air Tahiti Nui, without the red cheatline, my father flew this from Paris to Papeete, Tahiti back in 2009 in Business Class, the ATN A340-211, F-OITN "Bora Bora".
Which I have diecast from Herpa Wings @ scale 1:400:

To get this ATN A340-211 from IF -200 or JC Wings would be amazing at 1:200 of course with this exact livery and reg number.

Not really, they're the same fuselages and wings as the A342 and A343. IIRC the A330's got a lot more improvements over the years though, as far as MTOW and engine upgrades. That and the fact that they were twins vs quads resulted in 1454 orders for them vs 246 for the A340's.
