Default Inflight200 Philippine Airlines 747-283B

I’ve been wanting to have this model for years to complement my other 747-200B in the original livery. It was released back in 2016 at the AsiaPop Comic Convention, and was only limited to 105 pieces. Got the last piece for 5300Php or 101USD at Hobbiestock Glorietta; located in Makati, Philippines. All aircraft except for the newly released A321Neo were 20% off.

EI-BZA was one of three 747-200Bs that were leased by Philippine Airlines from Guinness Peat Aviation (GPA) of Ireland. The 540th 747 off the production line, this aircraft was originally built for Scandinavian Airlines Systems, and had her first flight back in 1981. Throughout her career with SAS, she had a short stint with Nigeria Airways, and later to sister company, Scanair before being leased out to PAL in 1987. She was later re-registered as EI-BZA in 1989 after SAS sold the aircraft to GPA. She flew for PAL for 11 years before being retired in 1998.

Masterful photo's there of this beauty, looks like a classic IF200 model due to the landing light details in the main wings

Very nice find, unless IF200 is doing their B747's like how they used to do them, either way interesting find.
The Boeing 747 is the only aircraft I find truly amazing and worth collecting, glad to see more B747 fans here

Thank you Gold Leader! Not sure about that though but it looks like most of IF’s 742s. It was the last piece in the store and I haven’t seen this on Ebay, etc. This version might have been the most boring in my collection; without the grey waterline found in the standard PAL livery, but I loved it because of the PW JT9D-7Q engines it carries as opposed to PAL’s originals that were equipped with GE CF6-50Es. Not to mention, the model was also EI-registered, thus having a variety of registrations in my collection; a break from the common RP-C registrations.

Nah today's IF B747's no matter what version 100,200,300 SP, 400 all have painted landing lights.

From what I can tell is that this one you have; being a release from 2016, is one of the last to have crystallized landing lights in the wings over the cheaper painted ones, a very cool aspect.

Beautiful and rare piece indeed. Do IF publish the number of pieces of each run?

I have only one IF that came with a card of how many were made.

I'm confused. What crystals are you referring to? Of all of my InFlight 747s, the landing lights are painted. Even my earliest models. Can you show an example of the older ones?

These are the landing lights, correct?

Nice model! The first inflight 747's had the jewelled landing lights. I believe I have them on my first Inflight 747..

Thank you Snowgohost! Lucky to have one even though it was plain white. They do publish the quantity on certain models. Example are the two Cebu Pacific DC9s I posted in the past

Thank you T7_4ever! It was a thousand Pesos off (19USD) and it was the only one left in retail. Not available in Ebay, or on any other online stores, which was one of the factors I considered in purchasing this model Regards!

Let's try this again with the landing lights from the earlier IF200 B747 models; Gentlemen a closeup pic of my Air Canada B747-200 IF200 model released back in Jan 2006, only 156 units were made at the time. Guessing JC Wings will probably re-release this model next month; based on their recent trends of re-releasing models instead of rolling out other airlines that have not yet been produced. Cheers! T7

One of the most beautiful 747's, despite the all white fuselage. Definitely brings memories of our family trip back in 89, and those trips to LAX when we would pick up our gradparents and reletives and greet them at the gate. I still remember the Philippine Airlines theme music when we were boarding "The beauty of the Phillipines comes shining through." C'mon Gemini, JC make one with extended flaps!

Nice! I don't recall ever seeing those. Does that happen to be the "Black Nose" AC 747? I never really could get used to that nose. That's okay though; I've got my L-1011. Thanks for posting T7!

Yay! Thank you for sharing T7! Good ole times when manufacturers didn’t cut cost on the details. Kinda reminds me of those found in JCW/Gemini 747s.

Yep despite the eurowhite fuselage, and the lack of other details, the Sunriser livery will always remind me of Home Can’t believe the basic livery is already 33 years old

This one’s my favorite version of the Shining Through ad https://youtu.be/zTWgmvaGjXw

A 747-400 with extended flaps, having RP-C7473 as its reg will drool every local collector here.

Thank you Steve! Imagine many years ago this bird was used for flights down under; now it’s the A321NEOs for BNE, and selected flights to MEL & SYD.

Yes that are the landing lights, here my Classic IF200 Continental B747-124, which has crystallized landing lights my like T7's Air Canada B747-233BM:

Here the landing lights:

As far as I know this is a model from 2007, I bought it from Johan Chan himself via ebay.
Always hoping IF200 will go back to the old methods, such details can make it worth the difference.
