Default My 29th B747 a Redux, had some changes

Hey all

It's been a while that I posted anything new here, had somecomplications with life health and such.

But gladly I have not forgotten this place if anything new would come my way, next week I will buy my 29th B747, even being I had 29 at some point, I gifted a good friend from Latvia my Hogan Wings China Airlines B747-409 "50 Years" and my Skymarks QANTAS B747-338C VH-EBU Nalanji Dreaming, so that got me back to 28 B747's.

So on with number 29 then

And yes; I have kept the remaining boxes of the newly added models didn't throw all out, some are just too important to lose, yet living with very limited space I just can't keep everything, good for those that can all good, just wanted that off my chest.

So here's my 29th Queen of the Sky

Boeing 747-338
QANTAS Australia "Nalanji Dreaming"
VH-EBU "City of Warrnambool"
Scale 1:200
JC Wings

Here some pics from the seller I use as reference:

Anyways more next week, just wanted to post this as I plan on continuing to complete my collection this year with a total of 32 Boeing 747's for in my main living room display

Every month I will add one B747 and slowly, but surely I will reach my goal of 32 Queens

So stay tuned my DA.C friends

Congrats on your newest acquisition! Out of curiosity: How did you come up with the goal number of 32?

Thanks eveyrone for tyhe lovely replies

And yeah 32 B747's max, well my main display has 16 cubits ..shall I call em Cubits,. they look like it hah guess what!

It just Works sorry Jensen (NVIDIA's CEO) I just used your GeForce RTX phrase hah

But yeah here's my collection as of now:

As you can see I have 5 spaces available they will be filled with these:

JC Wings QANTAS B747-338 Nalanji Dreaming
JC Wings Air China B747-89Li
JC Wings Ansett Australia B747-312 Sydney 2000
Inflight 200 Sands Las Vegas B747SP-21
Inflight 200 Saudi Arabia B747SP-68

Well something like this anyways the QF B747-338 VH-EBVU is first and the Air China B747-89Li is next in match and from there I will see what comes next.

So I did work it all out and this is my result, It just works

Very cool! Nice addition to the fleet.

I have the newer Wunala Dreaming from JC Wings. Wish I could find the GE powered with the painted nacelles though.

Many thanks for the kind replies Billy889 & snowghost

My Wunala Dreaming VH-OJB is from Herpa Wings imo it's really not that bad, replacing that fora diecast is still on my mind but no real rush yet, availability is also a thing I often have to deal with left alone price, shipping and the dreaded custom taxes, we all have our share ofn that part.

the other Wunala Dreaming is VH-OEJ btw for those wondering and that aircraft is a QF B747-438ER, as where VH-OJB is a QF B747-438.

@snowghost
Also the one with the painted engines is VH-OJB it has Rolls Royce RB211-524G/H&-T's btw and not General Electric CF6-80C2's

Thanks tho <3 Yeah once she arrives I'll make lovey pics of her
The Herpa B747-438 VH-OJB "Wunala Dreaming 01" is still a good model even it being PVC.
It's flight deck windows are also translucent, a cool feature for the least

PS: And regarding the JCWINGS B747-300 ANSETT "Sydney" you're looking for, I have an extra one

Thumbs up Re: My 28th B747 a Redux, had some changes

My Location is written under my Avatar... "FRA" = Frankfurt Airport

Well, regarding the BOEING Supersonic plane...

A few years ago one dear colleague retired and gave me a REVELL model kit of this plane in 1:200...

Actual there are two planes from PAN AM (one inflight configuration, the other landing configuration) within this box and I'll make over the weekend some pictures.

Both models could be easily done and there is also a nice stand for them

Well As member of the Shea Oakley's Supersonic Transports group I found out myself that the landing gear of the B2707-100 & 200 is identical to that of the B747 series of aircraft, the B747-8i would resemble the track base of the landing gear of a B2707 at the most accurate distance from nose gear to main gear etc

Here I made a post of lots of SST related aircraft in this topic from DA..C member B2707300SST:
https://www.diecastaircraftforum.com/1-200-scale-model-aircraft/97299-1-200-boeing-2707-300-sst.html#post2667882

Hey all

Sorry for the delayed update, there has been some changes.

Major thanks to StillAir, I was able to buy his new in box Ansett B743 which is this beauty:

Boeing 747-312 (Ex-Singapore Airlines)
Ansett Australia Limited "Southern Cross Livery"
VH-INJ "Sydney 2000 Olympic Games 01"
Scale 1:200
JC Wings / BBOX

This should go well with my AAL B747-412 VH-ANA which also has the Sydney 2000 art

Here a pic of the model for the reference:

As for VH-EBU "Nalanji Dreaming" that one will have to wait, since this one out rares it.
So yeah this one was actually planned as my 29th B747, but since I was able to get one for a good offer I chose VH-INJ over VH-EBU, and plan on getting VH-EBY on April 24 later this year.

Collecting isn't easy especially when such choices need to be made, anyways once VH-INJ arrives I'll add photos of it in this thread and when VH-EBU arrives I'll do the same, these two kind of fit well together in one thread.
Here is VH-EBU:

Kind of got me thinking on how to do this but this just works fine hah
Once VH-INJ arrives I'll make lovely photo's of it and post it here with credit to the previous owner of this beauty my friend and DA.C member StillAir

Many thanks vertigo11 and yeah that avatar of yours says it all hehe xD

Here my QANTAS classics:

Boeing 747-238B
QANTAS Australia "Spirit of Australia Livery 1987-1997"
VH-EBQ "City of Bunbury"
Scale 1:200
Inflight 200 (Limited Edition)

Boeing 747SP-38
QANTAS Australia "Ochre Livery 1975-1987" (for the B747SP)
VH-EAA "City of Gold Coast - Tweed"
Scale 1:200
Inflight 200 (Limited Edition 1 of 312 pcs)

VH-INJ will go on it's stand above VH-ANA on this spot:

Yet currently my VH-ANA is on it's stand as the picture shows

Boeing 747-438
QANTAS Australia "City of Sydney"
VH-OJB "Wunala Dreaming 01"
Scale 1:200
Herpa Wings (PVC)

VH-EBU (Nalanji Dreaming) will go on it's stand above VH-OJB (Wunala Dreaming 01)

But yeah as you can see I just gotta sort em out rearrange them and all will be cool around April 24th

Love the QF 747SP in retro livery, there's one on eBay in the modern livery but just doesn't look right for a model of that era

I've got an Inflight200 747-400ER (VH-OEE) pre-ordered - want to have a memento for when Qantas phases them all out by 2020.

Or the Qantas Martinair hybrid livery, I believe Steve (aussiejets) was on that one to get it released by inflight this year.

aah right well I decided to keep this thread for VH-EBU, I managed tor eserve it for April 24, 2019 so that is at least going to happen, VH-WBU Nalanji Dreaming will be my 29th B747.

So if a mod could change the title to:

My 29th B747 a Redux, had some changes

that would be super cool
