Thank you vandan, just a simple setup compared with yours but the model is nice!

Thanks Baerke for posting.

Am on the fence on this, really looks good.

Herpa is upping their game with the new generation B777 and A330 (not to say they have the nicest DC-10 out there).

Very nice model indeed!
Is that made of plastic or die cast!?

Indeed, this is a big leap forward again by Herpa.

It is a plastic mold but it is very good and you barely see the difference anymore. Herpa's plastic molds with antennas are now (widebodies);

Airbus A330
Airbus A350
Airbus A380
Boeing 777-300 er
Boeing 787 (antennas on the 787 are still too big maybe this changes with the new -10)
Boeing 747-8 (also still too big but hopefully this will change too in the near future)

And of course the lovely DC10 but I think they are not using that anymore...

Congrats! I for one have nothing against plastic. I recently purchased a Herpa Snap-Fit 787-9 which I realise doesn't have landing gear and most likely lacks many details, but I didn't want to deal with box storage and then moving it in November.

I would hope so. A big deterrent for me from buying plastic models is that they look more like a toy. Aside from the yellowing, of course.

It's nice to see that the new plastic models have a bit more detail than before.

For a few moments I was "dreaming" with my eyes open, how would this B777, would look like if it would have been constructed in the same way, as the Herpa's honorable Premium models.
Just imagine, for a minute, clear see through cockpit and cabin, minuscule impressive details throughout the wings, engines and fuselage. Spring loaded undercarriage and many other exclusive features...
Oh man, I think that would bring a whole new standard, dimension and meaning, to any model collection, among the collectors.
I hope, Herpa will consider bringing these standards back to reality!...

I'm still a bit reluctant and hesitant, knowing that the white plastic models, have the tendency to turn yellow, in the natural and artificial light exposure. There are many examples of such tragedies among the Herpa Premium models...

That would indeed be awesome if Herpa did that. I don't worry about yellowing of this 777 because this model seems to be painted/sprayed instead of just white plastic.

Lort. This ongoing debate over yellowing. This is not a Herpa Premium model from 17+ years ago.

Fine looking model and it's getting harder to distinguish it from the diecast metal B777 models; especially considering the $$$. T7
