Well after seeing this Korean Air model, i'm still hopeful of seeing one more to come.. i guess the model left to be made in these striking Korean blue colors is & yes you guessed it correctly a trijet with one of it's engines dead center in the tail..

Absolutely! I didn’t pay the price for the old Inflight version, and was hoping a flaps down model within my collection criteria would eventually be released (hasn’t happened until now). Very cool that this one is being made.

They are making good models, but they seem to have some issues with their deadlines, no. I ordered one of their upcoming releases months ago, still waiting for it (and it's not the retailers fault).

Has anyone heard an ETA on the United Blue Tulip 747s? I'm not familiar with typical JC release timelines beyond the "who knows" part. The retailer said "early summer" when I ordered.

point is NOBODY knows for sure. retailers only get estimates. sadly JC + IF schedules are all over the place. some models take more than a year.

probably B.A LANDOR A320 for me.

Wouldn’t it be awesome if “not sure when” became a really month?! Like instead of the announcement being in January and the delivery being “who knows!”, they could say something like “the delivery is expected in November.” Or “the delivery is expected in December.” It would almost sound like they mean it, ya know.

I mean, that way when the manufacturers allow for pre orders, and the customer makes the pre order, then the customer who has decided to make a commitment to pay for it would actually know when that commitment will be honored by the manufacturer. Crazy stuff like that would lead to much less complaining by customers and company men.

No kidding. And what's worse is not just pre ordering, but pre paying and waiting for eons. That is not happening again.

I love the fact that at my favourite retailer you can pre order a model without having to pay for it. You only pay when the model is actually there.

Actually and honestly, any other policy should make you refrain from pre-ordering with a retailer. Charging your credit card before the contract can be fulfilled is inadequate.

Yes, and that 'breakfast with syrup' dealer charges your card 100% for a pre-order and if you cancel well into the wait, you get a a 25% penalty on the refund..

Can't understand why people go down that road! There are plenty of dealers that take pre-orders and won't charge your card until its in stock.

I never pre-order for all the reasons mentioned above! Something i'm interested in is always available I can purchase right away and receive within a couple days to 10 days or so if it is coming from outside the US.

If I felt compelled to pre-order something, it would be from a retailer that does not process payment until in stock and shipped!
