Default INFLIGHT200 first 787-9 model-Qantas VH-ZNB

Model number IF789QF001
Aircraft Name " Waltzing Matilda"

The new Inflight 787-9 tooling is very impressive and highly recommended if you are after a model released on this mould. Some pictures for you

Inflight's 787 is far superior to the GJ/JC ones! I noticed they also added the missing details that I pointed out in one of my threads a while back.

See here

Most notably, the fuel dump valve on the wing has been added, they've protruded the strobe lights by the APU and the nose gear has been improved.

My goodness, IF200 certainly has improved their 787-9 mould! I no longer collect models and only have one left in my collection (GJ400 Virgin 789) but if IF200 were to ever release a Virgin 789 I'd buy it. (Yeah, I know, not gonna happen.) So much better than any of the other manufacturers.

Awesome model it seems tha IF200 is trying to make a comeback when it comes to better details and accuracies etc.

Still hoping they would get updated B747 moulds though, thereby leaving out the cradle wing mounting method and doing the same as they do here with their Dreamliner series.

Great addition though Steve, Ochre Livery would look awesome ona Dreamliner, after seeing the classic roo on the box aah the memories.

Thank you Steve.
QANTAS and KLM fans are certainly the most spoiled collectors, so many models available.

That said, I am not going to complain too much, I have just received an excellent Inflight AF A 340.

I have been waiting for 26 years for an accurate die cast model of this aircraft.
Someone said that patience is a virtue.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you.

J-P, I received my AF A343 as well and am more than happy with it! I owned the Gemini version briefly, however couldn't appreciate it with the notable flaws.

On top of the A343, I received the Swiss A333 and it looks absolutely superb!

On level ground, why the vertical tail fin on IF200 787-9 looks way higher than Phoenix model 787-9? And the Phoenix 787-9 vertical tail looks SMALL? Which is more accurate?

I was't going to purchase anymore Phoenix models due to their fixed gear down policy, but couldn't help myself with getting another Qantas 787-9 Dreamliner. There is a huge difference. I hope you all noticed the horizontal positioning mounts on the Inflight200 tooling. Anyhow this topic is worthy of another thread.

Well since the Dreamliners share wings I guess Inflight should be fitting these to the 787-8 mould now too?

This is definitely the best mould of a 787 on the market now. Their Dreamliners have progressed nicely since the original thin-inlet examples.

I'm enclosing a pic of why I avoid Inflight if I can as one of their weak points is haphazard and approximate application of graphics on models. This is endemic to many of their offerings (cheat-lines, window lines, logos, panels etc.)
Both cargo doors are placed / printed too low, and that jumped off the screen the minute I saw the otherwise great pics.
Also, the radome representation is too small.

You might be right there on cargo doors too low, thanks for pointing that out and the size of the radar dome. As per the title of this thread - this is Inflight200 first release on their brand new 787-9 tooling. A few little tweeks to fix and tampo print the engine cowlings and all will be better for future releases on this excellent mould. Let's see what the future holds. Cheers
