Default Model review 747-400

Manufacturer: The Aircraft of Model
Scale 1:160
747-400

I just received this today from our factory manager in China and I must say it isn't all that bad (free helps). I am posting it here on the 200 scale forum as this site generates more views though I acknowledge it should be in the Other Scale and Antique forum. It is nicely packaged comes in a designer box with carrying handle. When on the stand, it does not appear to be too far off in size from a 1/200 scale. It really looks like an oversize Risesoon model and the finish work is nice and glossy. Model can be displayed gear up or down on stand.

As for the light up portion, it is controlled by a very small switch under the tail and is recessed so it is not visible when model is on display. Unfortunately the pictures make the light up window appear bigger and out of proportion then they really are, but in the real they look very accurate.

Overall I give this model a 8.9 out of 10....Yes the lights are a gimmick, but it is something different and looks really nice on a display cabinet with the lights out. I checked and they are on ebay also available in Air China and EVA air.
What are your thoughts??

1- they forgot to add windows to the passenger doors
2- gear doors ( under the wings) are back to front
3- light fx are nice

Is it a model? Or a toy? Somewhere in between?!...;-)

Nice looking model. I will wait for the next iteration of this 1/160 scale model that will have the Aircraft Navigation Lights and the spinning turbo fans. Cheers! T7 ( Major, Major Thanks for posting the photos ) For those wondering where "Major, Major" is coming from, I think Rustle is aware of it's origin.

I guess the Brand Name/Manufacturer "The Aircraft of Model" is REALLY lost in translation. And yes, thanks for posting the pictures.

I could only find more pics on Taobao (only in Chinese). It says the fan blades could rotate.

It's "Rustle" to the bonehead "Dillon". Amazing the idiots on this forum But that's how it goes I guess. A picture of real life.

If they ever produce a Virgin 744 or 789 I would ignore my rule re: not buying any additional models and buy one immediately.
