An iconic livery on an iconic airliner, Herpa's no-brainer would have been to make it. I asked, they said you don't need it on their mold. They managed United but Capital was an unreasonable expectation. Idiots in positions of authority, couldn't think their way out of a wet paper bag.

Hopefully someone else makes it, then. I saw one of these in Reading, PA a few weeks ago and it looked amazing. It was sat next to an Eastern Martin 404 (which is another 1/200 I'd love to see!). I'm sure it would sell pretty quickly if another company were to produce it

Herpa feels the Hobby Master Viscount is plenty, I explained Capital is an iconic livery deserving of Herpa's better Viscount mold. I sensed German detachment with the whole proposition. Andrew Klein makes an effort the rest are positively worthless.

I spoke to Herpa 4-5 years ago about this and got the same response. It is a no-brainer but HM's highly questionable release has clearly influenced Herpa to avoid releasing this beauty. I have a Capital Viscount from Martin at Small World that I love, but would have picked up a Herpa quickly as well. It's a real pity for us retro collectors that Herpa doesn't pay more attention...
