Excellent, but it seems that the curvature of the wings given by the first element of the inboard flaps should be more pronounced.

Outboard flaps look fine but inboard flaps should go down a bit more.

These flaps are certainly removable, maybe simply a problem of assembly ?

A very, very good model that I could consider to buy despite a lack of space.
Cathay livery is fine but the Boeing house colors would be very successful and would be the common denominator between all the B 747 fans.

Jean Pierre.

You're welcome. A great model indeed. I personally would like to see a Take-off config. aswell - Korean 748 with flaps down would look great.

Indeed - that is why I love the early Inflight 744's - their landing gears and the extra aerials make the models superb.

Nothing beats the Herpa premium 747 when it comes to landing gears. But the flaps down configuration is very nice!

What is this? Looks absolutely great in CW livery. This was never announced by JCW. Can the OP shed more light on the provenance of this model?

Cool Re: Flapdown Jumbo

Most impressive!!!

What would be super, as part of the package, is a stand that has 2 different arms heights.

1. Short (4-5cms?) to display the model with flaps/gear down. (This model would look rather peculiar sitting on a shelf with those flaps hanging down.)
2. Longer (regular height) for gear up normal flight display

Just my 2¢ worth . . .

Again . . . MOST impressive!

Well, given it is now April 2018; maybe it will touch down before the 1 year anniversary date of it's pre-order date? As they say, good things come to those who wait. Good luck, sir! T7

When they knocked at the door I hope they weren't looking for this model that you took photos of that has not been officially announced yet. I also like the the way there is no photos of the box artwork or the product number of this subject, very clever for the tease, very clever indeed!

Look forward to the next lot of photos and don't hold yourself back to just two photos these are great! The old stand doesn't hold up anymore though. I like the new one better. 1:200 scale is just about to blow 1:400 scale out of the water I think in flaps down details. Nice stuff guys (manufacturer & photographers) thank you very much!

Love the look of it!!
It's strange that we get 1/200 scale 747 with flaps down now
as I've had a couple of 1/400 scale 747 with flaps down for a few years.

Anyway it's good to see innovation!!

For recent 1/400 models with flaps down are,
JC Wings made A350s, B787s with flaps down,
nor sure if JC has come out for B747s.

A few years back Hogan came out with B747s with flaps down.
All airline official, Japanese market only models like
ANA and NCA cargo B747s came out with flaps down.

I have ANA and NCA ones in my collection. Very nice and hard to get models.
