Default Air France Languedoc

Here are some photos of an Air France SE-161 Languedoc.
The kit is from Cloudbreak Models and it is an exceptionally easy build.

Very well done , Jay !

It's great to see these old aircraft on the forum.
The Languedoc was very elegant, something like a big DH 91 Albatross.

The F-BCUS was the 49 th aircraft produced and was one of the very last received by AF in 1948.
Having flown 4600 h it was sold to Aviacion y Comercio (Aviaco) in 1956.
It became EC-AMH and was finally retired from service in 1961, with more than 10200 h.

Cannot be compared to the longevity of a DC 3 or DC 4 but it was not that bad … and the Viscount was there …

I look forward to seeing your next model.

Jean Pierre.

Nice bird.
Maybe we can have a seperate 1/200 forum for older planes, say pre 1970? so they don't get lost in all the modern stuff?

Not sure …
It's good to show everyone that commercial aviation did not start with the B 747.

Just my thought …

No matey,

Just here is fine to post all 1:200 and what a beauty this is. Looks like JP steered you in the right direction. Great work

Very nice ! As chances to see this from a regular brand at a reasonable price are almost nil, I'll probably get one of those kits.

The kit is available from Wojtek Benzinski and it is very high quality and easy to build.
